What's Christmas looking like in your house?

We were supposed to be off to Greece to spend Christmas with Grandparents Sad

Instead, it will be just me, ex DP and 2 dc. Dc will wake us up at silly o'clock to open presents. Breakfast will be smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and mimosas, chocolate waffles for the kids.

Then we'll either go for a walk if it's nice, or watch a cheesy movie. Dinner will be spatchcocked Turkey, stuffed tomatoes and peppers, roast potatoes, and salad.

After dinner I'll be downing margaritas and watching Netflix until bedtime.

Much like @BatshitCrazyWoman I’ll be alone and it’ll be much like any other ‘Sunday’. I cook roasts fairly regularly for myself so doing another one doesn’t feel like ‘treat’. If I could be on a plane to somewhere hot, I’d jump at the chance.

Can’t wait for the 27th and it all to be over.

Just DP, DS and I.
DP is high risk and we're going into tier 3 tomorrow. No point in mixing we haven't really since March anyway.

We all have covid so if we’re lucky we’ll be over it by then and find the energy to wrap DC gifts. No plans beyond that.

I don’t care about food or anything. I just want to breathe easily and not feel like I’m suffocating.

Sending a supportive pat on the arm. It'll be over soon

Opening presents Christmas morning, then a quick breakfast and showers.
Socially distanced visit with MIL (her partner has recently had a small operation) then my DM and FIL are coming for dinner.
We’ve all isolated ten days prior and all live locally.

Similar to every year, but sadly minus the extended family. Kids' stockings when we wake up, dh will probably take the dog for a quick walk while the dc and I get dressed. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for a lateish breakfast. Glass of champagne and open presents.

Maybe a board game or two. Zoom call with in-laws. Traditional Christmas lunch about 2pm cooked by dh. Not having Christmas pudding- I'm making a white chocolate gingerbread yule log.

Afternoon- watch second half of The Box of Delights (first half on Christmas Eve). Tirkey sandwiches for a late tea.
