C'mon, its the food of the gods right? Yet my lovely friend hates it.

I had it for my tea tonight with fingers of tiger loaf. Have also previously been known to dunk sausages and even Brussels sprouts in its liquid gold.

Shes totally wrong isn't she.

Love cold Camembert/Brie and also warm in a toastie. The baked version makes me want to vom and I really want to love it 😭

pistolknight · 12/12/2020 21:45

All cheese is disgusting 🤮

EggnogAndAMincepie · 12/12/2020 21:46

I had one the other day with crusty French stick to dip inside. It just tasted of sweaty feet. Can't say I'll be rushing out to buy another one any time soon

elsaesmeralda · 12/12/2020 21:46

Had the exact same today. Amazing

1Morewineplease · 12/12/2020 21:47

I love cheese but not baked Camembert.
Sorry.

PointyMcguire · 12/12/2020 21:48

We had one yesterday and dipped pigs in blankets into it...definitely food of the gods Grin

giantangryrooster · 12/12/2020 21:49

In my early childhood in the 70'ies the big thing was deep fried camembert, a thing for all respectable dinner parties and it smelt horrible Grin.

murasaki · 12/12/2020 21:49

I cut the top off, add some garlic, rosemary and white wine, bung the top back on, and put it in the special baking camembert dish that my sister in law got me for Xmas one year. She is a legend, and so is t he cheese.

Namechangeme87 · 12/12/2020 21:50

I ... hmmm I always think I like it I SHOULD like it , I want to like it . I love cheese but by like three bites in It’s to much . And I forget this for roughly a year and we go again! Grin

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 12/12/2020 21:50

Pointy you have just upped the game with pigs in blankets

@hansgrueber

I'd rather suck socks than imbibe camembert, or any smelly cheese. Why do you feel that everyone should share your preferences?
Because I am right and you are clearly just as U as DrMadelaine

What a sensible person your friend is.

thefirstmrsrochester · 12/12/2020 21:53

I am a massive cheese lover however I can take or leave Camembert. Love a baked Brie with garlic and Rosemary. I’m feeling the cosmic pull of the brie that’s sitting in the fridge right now actually.

FourPlatinumRings · 12/12/2020 21:53

I feel your pain- DH hates it (and also brie). Thus, I never get to have one at Christmas because I know I couldn't get through one on my own and can't abide waste.

It's a hard life.

moglovesmincepies · 12/12/2020 21:53

Love a lot of cheese but not camenbert

I always eat a full one to myself, along with a full (half) French stick 😊
Elllicam · 12/12/2020 22:00

Brie is nice but I always feel camembert has an underlying taste of cabbage.

whichwallywhere · 12/12/2020 22:01

It's an appalling waste of tiger bread.

burblish · 12/12/2020 22:13

Baked Camembert is heaven! I love trying it with loads of different added aromatics and flavours. I always feel slightly horrified at the calories after I have scoffed an entire one in a single sitting, but the shame never lasts long.

Sparklingbrook · 12/12/2020 22:30

It just tastes and smells of farmyard.

namechangenumber204 · 12/12/2020 22:35

the most disgusting thing ever invented

HazeyJaneII · 12/12/2020 22:36

Jesus no, it's the devil's own jizz

TheYearOfSmallThings · 12/12/2020 22:39

It tastes wonderful, but I must say the smell is disturbing until you have confirmed that it is definitely just the Camembert.
