Seriously?! If I wanted to be “taken from behind” I’d like to think I wouldn’t be in my comfy onesie?! I’m on a few style and beauty threads - am I really the target market for advertising adult pjs?!

Ideal for fishing and camping trips when u need the loo!! 😁

dontgobaconmyheart · 12/12/2020 20:21

Surely it's your (odd) choice to bring up facilitating your 'dad taking your mum from behind' - how vulgar OP. I can't see a need to sexualise it past the point of decency tbh, or at all. They're hideous yes but you don't need to buy them or look at them.

Even if they were 'adult' clothing, sex is a very normal activity so who even cares.

As an aside, I wish people would stop saying this sort of thing is grim and lacks hygiene. You do realise a great many unwell bedbound and disabled individuals have very little choice but to wear clothing or use 'grim' accessories that make life easier to toilet when ill. Also a decent proportion of posters male partners presumably have boxers or PJ bottoms at home with exactly this, at the front, to take a piss out of for 'convenience'. That doesn't seem to cause any point of interest, we arent making threads about it and getting excited that it's for shagging Confused

MrsClatterbuck · 12/12/2020 20:21

@FixTheBone

It's called a drop-seat, and has been part of nightwear since 1861, where they were found on the one-piece 'union-suit' that preceded modern pyjamas, and superceded the nightshirt , where such a flap was not required.
Yes these have been about a long time but I have always associated them with the wild west and cowboy movies. Sort of onsie long johns.
Ch3m · 12/12/2020 20:29

I had the same advert tonight! I was gobsmacked. I have been doing lots of googling for pyjamas and slippers, but for a 2 year old 😧 not a scoob what would trigger an advert like that!

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 12/12/2020 20:32

How are you alll getting this ad?I don’t get shown it.

FPS123 · 12/12/2020 20:37

I keep getting the ads too. I don’t know why they open at the back. Surely that’s really fiddly to get the poppers shut again?

andawaywego · 12/12/2020 20:40

They should have cut out the 0 in 2021. Missed opportunity.

Oh gosh, that's pornographic, it should not be allowed. I always thought the standard onesies look like an effective contraceptive. Just that no one looks desireable wearing one, they look hideous.

Calmate · 12/12/2020 20:48

@Bellsandwhistle
Maybe they wore them on the set of Brokeback Mountain? Grin

Sniv · 12/12/2020 20:52

I knew from the title it was going to be these bumflap pyjamas.

UniversalAunt · 12/12/2020 20:56

The tartan set just appeared on a side banner.
WTF!

VetiverAndLavender · 12/12/2020 20:57

I know some people must like adult onesies or they wouldn't bother advertising, but I can't stand them. They look disgusting.

Bellsandwhistle · 12/12/2020 20:59

@dontgobaconmyheart there’s not a mission I’d buy these for my mother I just can’t see how they aren't sexual. My mother would be horrified by these as a present. Agree nothing wrong or grim about sex but I just don’t see these as getting me in the mood!! Re the wee thing I just think these are not hygienic and if disabled or whatever surely some elasticated pjs would be easier that the contortions needed to fasten these?!

OP posts:
Christmashottubintheshed · 12/12/2020 21:01

I thought these were so you didn’t have to take them off to go to the toilet!

VetiverAndLavender · 12/12/2020 21:02

Regarding the little opening in the front of briefs and boxers, I think those are gross, too! Not that I think of them at all, but when they cross my mind, I always think "yuck, just pull them down!"

Bellsandwhistle · 12/12/2020 21:02

@Ch3m yes that’s obv what triggered it a search for boys pjs - grim that mn though this an okay ad!!

This re y fronts. Boke! How lazy do you have to be to just not be able to pull them down?!

Thecherryontheverytop · 12/12/2020 21:06

I see this ad all the time but I've not googled pj's at all.

Bellsandwhistle · 12/12/2020 21:06

@sniv lol at bum flap pjamas! Agree if somebody of wee flap surely the position would be different!!

duplicate of a thread a couple of weeks ago?

I can only assume it was clicking on that thread on my tablet that means I'm now constantly getting ads for what appears to be fetish-wear, apparently from a company called Wis - for some reason, with prices shown prominently in the corner in GBP and USD in the same advert (i.e. item 1 and 3 in £ and item 2 in $), so I assume not specifically targeted in any way, even to the user's own country. I'd love to know how to stop them, but I've no idea how.

It's bad enough with those same two video adverts from MN that play incessantly and run down my battery if I forget to switch it off when I put it down - normally it times out and sleeps within a couple of minutes of inactivity, but it thinks I'm actively watching these irritating videos and so never auto-sleeps - but at least the MN ads aren't highly inappropriate or embarrassing if my DC (or a friend) sees them.

I cleared my browser and cookies, to see if that might get rid of them, but they still persist - all that happens now is that the adverts I get on YouTube are all in Dutch!?!

PassataQueenofBritain · 12/12/2020 21:07

But if you open the flap to use the loo... don't the pyjamas go on the seat? Ew.

Obviously the designer didn't have little boys in their house Envy

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 12/12/2020 21:08

a company called Wish

allmywhat · 12/12/2020 21:11

I too am pursued around the internet by the Bumflap Onesie and I hate it! I was just complaining about it today!

I hate the way she's posing with her arse out like it's a lingerie ad. I understand there may be practicalities of a bum flap but they make it look like a sex flap which.... no. So many levels of no. If you want to dress as a baby to have sex don't advertise it at me. Also it would be very sweaty.
