Things you can't stand for no reason whatsoever?

I have a real aversion to silicone. For some reason the thought of it makes me feel like I'm going to throw up, I can honestly get to heaving point 🤢 I've no idea why, it's not the feel of it. I just can't stand the thought of it.

It's the same with bottle tops, like the screw bottle top on a bottle of coke. The tip is always so scratchy and it gives me shivers.

Anyone else have random things they cannot stand but can't really explain?

The thought of pancakes. I love pancakes, I'd eat them all day if I could, but the THOUGHT of pancakes? Disgusting, makes me want to throw up.

I can't bear the thought of putting my hands into flour so the rubbing in method is not for me.

Same with floury rolls, or the sound of the flour being scraped off the rolls.

I think it's the dryness because like a pp I can't stand dry hands being rubbed together.

Fleece 'teddy' bedding. It's everywhere at the moment. I can't bear the thought of the sweaty damp smell after a few nights 🤢. 100% cotton only for me.

I'm tempted by 'teddy' bedding but I'm also afraid I will be a sweaty mess in the morning. I've compromised by getting white brushed cotton bedding. I've just bought a 200TC set. The previous set was also 100TC but the fitted sheet has gone rough and bobbly.

I read something pretty mind blowing on a previous MN thread about things we didn't know. With an OXO cube the idea is that you unfold the ends, flatten out the little foil pack, crumble the stock cube in the pack then tear off the end and empty into your cooking. You need never experience stock cube discomfort again

Pigeons urgh hate the sight of them & even more so if they’re shagging. Cannot stand it! Gives me utter rage.

I don't think I've ever seen pigeons shagging - can't imagine seeing it often enough that it would become one of my bug bears!

People who pose for photos with their mouths open, slack jawed, for "fun". Stacey Dooley does it. It's so annoying!

I hate velvet and other 'rough' fabrics. Makes the back of my throat close up thinking about it. And Tom Hanks - his voice sounds like he has got a lump of mucus stuck. On that note I hate male musical theatre singers. Don't even know how to explain that one!

I also hate tables that are set as a kind of display. Not sure why just makes me angry for some reason.
