I live in a bungalow with my ds2 whos 14 he has special needs. A few days ago I put lights up was round my bungalow as ds2 loves to see them flash .but today a neighbour knocked on my door and asked if I could turn them off because she works nights and she said she cant get to sleep when she comes home but the only window I can see is her landing and bathroom.but its different when there security light keeps flashing on and off at night lighting my bedroom up.i was gobsmacked.

I would just chat to her about which bit of the day is affecting her (likely to be from 6am to 12noon or something and agree to turn them off for a bit then. Surely your DS wont be outside looking at them then as he will be asleep, then having breakfast, then at school?

Unless your child spends his Decembers in the garden would he not enjoy them more inside? It’s up to you what you do and whether you want to get on with your neighbour or not

Been at my home for 3 years now ( had a bad accident in 2013) had to move because my old home was not suitable for me so bought the bungalow where I'm at now. Not many of the neighbours speak to me. That's fine by me dont really care to be honest.bit different when her bloody dog barks everytime its out or her security lights going on and every night and that wakes me up its that bright.
