MN obsessions

Why is MN obsessed with fluffy socks, why not just socks?

Also see new pyjamas, posh chocolate, warm coats, good quality yet inexpensive anything.

Can we use some new adjectives.

I miss when the only thing naice was ham.

Diagnosing people with mental illnesses.

OffredOfjune · 29/11/2020 19:49

@Mrgrinch

Diagnosing people with mental illnesses.
Yep. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry's MIL is apparently a raging narcissist on here but is probably just a bit self-centred in reality.

I actually know a diagnosed narcissist in real life, and I can bet you anything that he is ten times different to these evil MILs people describe 😂

MrsGrindah · 29/11/2020 19:50

Judging people for judging

BitOfFun · 29/11/2020 19:50

Well don't you sound delightful?

BitOfFun · 29/11/2020 19:51

Could he have ASD?

AriesTheRam · 29/11/2020 19:51

The disdain for Mcdonalds.Sometimes you need carby fatty crap.Anyone would think its equates to eating out of a Biffa bin.It doesn't its still food!

Housewoes23 · 29/11/2020 19:53

OffredOfjune

Using twee, silly insults such as, 'did you mean to be so rude?!' or 'are you on glue?' as if anyone would say that in real life 😂

I've said both. Not proud and not ashamed Grin

MrsGrindah · 29/11/2020 19:54

Takeaways. To get one or not, what to get, how much, how often, do you collect or get it delivered and on and on and on.....

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 29/11/2020 19:56

@BitOfFun

Could he have ASD?
Yep. Everyone under 45 has ASD; everyone over 45 has dementia.
MitziK · 29/11/2020 19:56

@NuniaBeeswax

MASSIVE SALADS with every meal. And fucking crusty bread.
I wish I could convince DP that these are essential. I'd be a lot happier (and possibly not quite so fat - although my almost equal love of real butter, meats and cheeses might get in the way a tad).
Janegrey333 · 29/11/2020 20:00

Telling people they must be “jealous” - of Meghan Markle especially.

Whenwillow · 29/11/2020 20:01

The constant use of the word 'selfish' irritates me a bit.
I like sliced white bread, and my kids played with plastic tat if it makes me any less objectionable 😂
I enjoy this forum mainly because it emphasises how we all think differently.

Janegrey333 · 29/11/2020 20:03

Complimenting people who have posted doctored selfies. Even squint steps do not apparently indicate tampering with photos.😆

Fluffyhairforever · 29/11/2020 20:04

People replying to the Op: “you sound awful” or “you sound like hard work”.

PonderingPeggy · 29/11/2020 20:05

Tops must always be "strappy".

Fruit is "full of sugar".

Cake must always be "homemade" - especially if it's (shock! horror!) going into a packed lunch.

Janegrey333 · 29/11/2020 20:05

“Man here.” is cringeworthy. It’s as if the poster imagines he is a hero riding to the rescue. I like to see them taken down a peg.

isthismylifenow · 29/11/2020 20:09

A socially distanced walk.

No one just goes for a walk on MN

Newuser991 · 29/11/2020 20:09

I've been taken aback by the number of adults asking for justification for strangers for a simple decision of no consequence.

Last night it was I want Chinese and DP wants Indian. One take away will cost £30 & 2 takeaways will cost £40...should I spend the extra £10.

For fuck sake cant adults make a decision about what they want to eat and how much they want to spend. It's embarrassing

ChelseaCat · 29/11/2020 20:16

“Tinkly laugh” gives me rage. “Give your head a wobble” also.

mummyoneboy19 · 29/11/2020 20:17

I’d log it with 101.

No wonder you can never get through to 101 when you need to, there’s hoards of mumsnetters reporting things like the neighbour opposite cutting their hedge down.

UpcyclingQueen · 29/11/2020 20:17

“Are you seeing the GP for your anxiety OP?”

BitOfFun · 29/11/2020 20:18

Have we had the anxiety over inheritance threads yet? There's one or two every day.

BtwI don't think I've inherited a thing in my life, nor am I likely to. Thank fuck, if the stress about it here is to be believed.

Thewoodfromthetrees · 29/11/2020 20:20

Everything on MN is 'outing'.... Confused

feistyoneyouare · 29/11/2020 20:20

'That's fucking grim OP' if someone admits they don't wash 17 times a day.

Newuser991 · 29/11/2020 20:21

Children have a normal falling out with a friend: inform the school.

No wonder teachers are struggling to cope with having to parent and solve disputes among friends
