To blow the whistle?

Every morning there is a man who goes for a job past my house. He always wears the same outfit, which is black Nike top, black shorts, black socks pulled up to his knees and trainers. He looks like a referee from a football match rather than a jogger. WIBU to one morning shout, “offside!” and blow a whistle?

That’s really not what I thought this thread would be about! There was I, ready to deliver a “go to HR, follow your policy” lecture....

yelyah22 · 24/11/2020 09:28

PLEASE DO. And film it.

BluePeterVag · 24/11/2020 09:28

Job is obviously jog!
@Takemetothebar Sorry! There should be a policy for joggers looking like referees.

Go on, do it!

Jayaywhynot · 24/11/2020 09:48

Please do it, film it and supply a diagram 😉

Hoppinggreen · 24/11/2020 09:51

Don’t fancy his chances of getting a job dressed like that - unless it’s as a referee

Atalune · 24/11/2020 09:51

I love this!!

Glitterblue · 24/11/2020 09:51

Do ittttt 😂

Nikhedonia · 24/11/2020 09:57

Play the MOTD theme tune as he runs past

BluePeterVag · 24/11/2020 11:18

Grin love the MOTD theme tune idea. Going to draw a diagram.

I know you're probably joking but it's really mean to taunt people on their appearance. All you'd succeed in doing is making him uncomfortable.

bonjonbovi · 24/11/2020 11:24

What would make this different to a man catcalling a woman because of what’s she’s wearing?

IHaveAGreyLamp · 24/11/2020 11:24

Oh lighten up, it’s a JOKE!
mummytonicekidz · 24/11/2020 11:35

This is funny but if a man yelled 'TART' or 'SLAG' at a woman who was running in a skort and sports top then I can just imagine the outrage.

Brighterthansunflowers · 24/11/2020 11:36

What a strange post. Maybe you should get a hobby and pay less attention to other people doing their hobbies

Hayeahnobut · 24/11/2020 11:38

The sad thing is that some people would do this.

And they are arseholes.

Whammyyammy · 24/11/2020 11:39

Shout "are you blind ref?'

Hoppinggreen · 24/11/2020 11:44

I dont think that the word referee has the same impact as tart or slag
I have had 2 of these word shouted at me by random men in the street but would have preferred the 3rd one . No prizes for guessing which is which

Moonmelodies · 24/11/2020 11:47

Perhaps he's a linesman for the county.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 24/11/2020 11:47

you don't mention a mask
call the covid police

Derekhello · 24/11/2020 11:51

Nikhedonia · 24/11/2020 11:56

OP, shame on you. 10 years hard labour and then to the stocks with you.

I cannot believe you thought it was acceptable to create a lighthearted thread Angry.

FrangipaniBlue · 24/11/2020 12:10

I shall never again go for a run in my black shorts and top ConfusedGrin

tasmaniandevilchaser · 24/11/2020 12:15

Was I the only one that read it as 'goes for a job' as in 💩 I was just hoiking my bosom in outrage!
