I need some inspiration.
Like most stuff except sci fi and anything too overly complicated to follow

Friends From College - bit annoying at first but then binged it , shot in New York, great fashion etc

Waveysnail · 19/11/2020 23:03

Santa Clarita Diet - Drew Barrymore as a zombie!

Brighterthansunflowers · 19/11/2020 23:06

Binged The Queens Gambit a couple of weeks ago, it’s brilliant!

Also The Haunting of Bly Manor was very good

Currently The Crown

Other Netflix staples for me are Orange is the New Black, Once Upon a Time, Orphan Black, One Day at a Time (I’m not obsessed with O titles honest), Doctor Who, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Big Bang Theory, Red Dwarf

I'm making space for a mega dodgy Christmas movie binge!

I'm tying up my loose ends (some Korean dramas and true crime series) and adding all of the Christmas titles to my list. Today I added The Princess Switch 2, because if two lookalikes were trouble, well now there are 3! Shock

I've also binged on Sister Sister. Lisa is hilarious, and I love the 90s fashion.

BadlyDrawnSimpsonsCharacter · 20/11/2020 02:25

Started watching Peaky Blinders - on the second season now; it is INCREDIBLE.

CrikeyPeg · 20/11/2020 03:35

@ScribblingPixie

I've started watching Wanted after a recommendation on here - it's about two Australian female strangers on the run together from corrupt police. The first couple of episodes were a bit so-so but I'm really into it now it's started revealing their pasts & exploring their relationships, and the scenery's lovely.
We loved it too. Great Aussie scenery - I reckon they must have got some funding from the tourism board, some good humor, some nice deep/insightful moments. A good watch. Funny, I was somewhere the other day and heard a woman talking, and I was like, is that Chelsea?? Haha Grin

Unorthodox is great. Caliphate is also good. It's swedish and the dubbing is hilariously poor but it's a very compelling drama.

SkySmiler · 20/11/2020 09:48

To the lake - amazing

JanQi · 20/11/2020 09:49

Dynasty. It's absolutely ridiculous and pure trash. I love it.

Lozz22 · 20/11/2020 10:01

Homeland and the odd feel good film Christmas film chucked into between a few episodes

PetitTorteois · 20/11/2020 10:16

I can't believe people like Schitts Creek! I was looking forward to watching it but were so disappointed. I didn't laugh once during the first episode. If anything, it was embarrassing and cringe worthy. Am I the only one?

Did you just watch the first episode ? It took me till half way through season two to actually think it was worth watching . Everyone I’ve spoken to about it says the same . It’s a grower .
MaMaLa321 · 20/11/2020 11:25

the Chefs Table. Brilliant

WellThankyouAJPTaylor · 20/11/2020 11:41

I'm watching the latest season of Rita. It's totally lovely, would recommend.

Also gutted there won't be another series of Away, really enjoyed that.

Re Schitt's Creek (and any comedy series really) don't judge by one episode. Loads of brilliant comedies take a few episodes to find their feet - Parks and Rec, Seinfeld and the US Office took a whole series each to find their tone and settle in, but were great by season 2.

I like Schitt's Creek, but I'm in a minority in thinking it loses its edge a bit around season 4.

I tried a food few episodes of shitts creek, couldn't get into it. Parks and Recs is brilliant, 30 rock and US Office too and they took a few episodes to get into. But I just couldn't carry on with SC.

It's odd how it's about chess but isn't - we've just watched it and loved it. Highly recommend this series.
Tartyflette · 27/11/2020 15:02

'Criminal'. Fiction, now on series two with three episodes in each one.
They are police interrogations, with actors like Sharon Horgan and David Tennant, very intense and gripping.
Also The Crown (of course)
Sex Education was very funny in a car-crash-TV sort of way.
