I need some inspiration.
Like most stuff except sci fi and anything too overly complicated to follow

Just started Narcos and we're hooked!

HappyDooDaaa · 19/11/2020 19:05

Tiger King
Upload (slow start,stick with it)
All of the US office (much better than UK version)
The morning show
Parks and recs
30 rock
Black mirror

Not sure if these are all on Netflix but recommend regardless!

BBC iplayer is showing one on Oscar pistorius which surprisingly is really good. His story shows how remarkable he is as a person (...well minus the shooting of Reeva Steenkamp) with the dedication of not giving up as a double amputee. I know her family didn't like the documentary as it does paint his glory but I think the intention of documentary is to show his highs and lows in a storytelling way.

HappyDooDaaa · 19/11/2020 19:06

Oh also netflix have the Fyre documentaries which are so unreal!!!!

Takemetothebar · 19/11/2020 19:09

The Durrells.

Gentle, easy, feel good funny! With keeley hawes, who was the Home Secretary in Bodyguard (the bbc one, not Kevin and Whitney!).

Myfathersmellsofelderberries · 19/11/2020 19:13

Queen of the South

LockdownLump · 19/11/2020 19:14

If you don't mind subtitles

Subbura - Blood on Rome 3 seasons, it's absolutely brilliant.

Call My Agent - subtitles again, but funny and light. I'm currently obsessed with it. It's about an actors agency in Paris. Lots of famous cameo's.

Queen of the South first couple of eps aren't great, but soooo glad I stuck with it.

Selling sunset - worth watching just for the houses.

LockdownLump · 19/11/2020 19:16

Oh yes, let's not forget the one small detail about him being an insanely jealous, cold blooded murderer.

Mairyhinge · 19/11/2020 19:16

No ones mentioned it but Cobra Kai, we loved it! Thought it would be all about karate but it's not ( well it is but not I'm a boring way!). It's based on the original kids from the karate kid movie and their ongoing rivalry.
Really really enjoyed it.
Also enjoyed Emily in Paris
Haunting of hill house / Bly manor
Next up for us is Away, & the queens gambit.

hammeringinmyhead · 19/11/2020 19:18

The Queen's Gambit is brilliant. I'm now watching the Crown.

LockdownLump · 19/11/2020 20:08

Emily in Paris (total gorgeous fluff)

Apparently its been absolutely panned in France, for the stereotypes it's incorporated.

latheritup · 19/11/2020 20:10

Greenleaf. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was!

sapnupuas · 19/11/2020 20:12
