Not 100% an AIBU but where does everyone put their clothes when they are not dirty and you plan on wearing them again, either next day or whatever?

I hang mine either over the banister or fold them and put them on my bedside table, my DS puts his on the banister and my DP puts his in a pile on the floor. But thing is he has several different outfits on the go all the time, work clothes, clothes he changes into after work, gym clothes and that means a large pile of clothes on the floor 24/7 it drives me mad!

But I dont actually know where to tell him to put them. Where does everybody have theirs?

AIBU to not want them all over the floor? It constantly makes the room look so messy.

The chair!

thetaleunfolds · 17/11/2020 19:48

I have a designated chair. In my mind, if they go on the floor they get dirty (but I have a shedding dog)

sbhydrogen · 17/11/2020 19:50

This is exactly what The Chair is for ;)

NeutralJanet · 17/11/2020 19:50

I told minè and put them on the dressing table stool. DH leaves his on the floor on his side of the bed.

SummerHouse · 17/11/2020 19:51

I have a floordrobe. Blush

picklemewalnuts · 17/11/2020 19:53

Hooks on the back of the door

LouiseTrees · 17/11/2020 19:56

The chair or t

Aibuabouteverything · 17/11/2020 20:01

We have absolutely no room for a chair in the bedroom 😔
Also have a shedding dog and cat but DP doesnt seem to care he's always covered in hair!

Well you must get a chair. It is the solution to your problem. Perhaps you could invest in bunkbeds, so you have more floorspace for The Chair.

lol.

Isn't that what the exercise bike in the corner of my bedroom for?

RandomMess · 17/11/2020 20:10

I have a shoe cabinet and the top is the "floor drobe"

RandomMess · 17/11/2020 20:12

In the old days when I got to leave the house and work in an office I wore dresses and they 90% of the time got hung back in the wardrobe, I am not naturally a tidy person!!

BessMarvin · 17/11/2020 20:16

I don't reuse anything as the kids snot all over them or whatever but could you just have a separate section of the wardrobe? When I reused jeans they'd be inside out before they are worn and the right way out before the second wear.

PhoenixReincarnated · 17/11/2020 20:17

@changethetoner 😂😂

Maybe a couple of hammocks instead so they can both have a chair 🤔😉

RunningFromInsanity · 17/11/2020 20:19

I have an ottoman storage box, which also doubles up as a seat in front of my dressing table.

thenightsky · 17/11/2020 20:21

In the en suite. Either on hangers on the shower screen or behind the door or draped over the bath.

Aibuabouteverything · 17/11/2020 20:25

@changethetoner I love that idea 🤣

I sleep like a starfish too so that'll solve the arguments with DP that I take over the whole bed too haha

I’ll admit the bannister would drive me mad more than the floor, I’d be thinking for a new place for you to put yours not DP Grin

LoseLooseLucy · 17/11/2020 20:53

The Chair.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 17/11/2020 20:53

I have a box. But yes, that's what I used the excercise bike for too! Grin

lovelilies · 17/11/2020 21:03

Bannister and blanket box

HuntedForest · 17/11/2020 21:10

I have a coat stand in the corner of the room. Takes less space than a chair. DH uses the floor.

MabelFurball · 17/11/2020 21:11

I have got a ladder thing propped up against the side of the wardrobe. If you Google Clothes Ladder you will see lots of examples.

What about one of these vintage style towel rails OP: www.wayfair.co.uk/home-decor/pdx/fleur-de-lis-living-lunaire-free-standing-towel-stand-pzoo1048.html. This one's damned expensive though - I got ours for about £20 on Ebay.
