@Snaileyes, My original comment refers to a comment from Leaanb where she is referring to a conspiracy theory where 10 indigenous children supposedly disappeared during an outing with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip in 1964. THAT is bullshit.

The missing indigenous children are not bullshit, my grandmother attended a residential school so I know the abuse that happened there is a fact. That might be why I'm slightly irritated about conspiracy theories about the topic.

As for the Queen's role in Canada, being Canadian, I'm well aware of it, and as she is just a figurehead I'm not putting the blame on her for residential schools which were actually stopped, not started, under her reign. HTH.

How do you know it’s not true? There was an eye witness who made several statements. This was years before any weird conspiracy stuff came out about RF.

I’ve never heard of this particular case before you mentioned it. It’s really odd. I can’t see why that would ever happen but why would a child lie about that?
