Should I suppress it?

Dd has a couple of Halloween fancy dress parties to go to and I can't help thinking it would be fun to dress ds up too.

Would you? Is it a bit of fun or too naff to contemplate? Might I scar the poor wee chap for life?

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate babies in fancy dress and NOT at a fancy dress party.

brimfull · 17/10/2007 16:20

lol

yes do it ,it is naff ,but so what?

MrsBadger · 17/10/2007 16:20

so long as you know it is purely for your own benefit and he will get nothing at all from it

Sunshinecursedmummy · 17/10/2007 16:21

Yep I'd do it too.

EmsMum · 17/10/2007 16:22

It will only scar him if you take pictures and show them to friends - esp girlfriends - in later life.

It is extremely naff. But then so is most of halloween malarky.

LilBloodRedWantsGore · 17/10/2007 16:22

It can't be worse than a friend of mine who dresses her two Alaskan Malamuts up every year.

chloesmumtoo · 17/10/2007 16:25

lol my first impressions to the title was 'how sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

tallulah · 17/10/2007 16:28

I've just bought my DD a pumpkin stretchsuit from Tesco for the mum and tots halloween bash

bookwormmum · 17/10/2007 16:30

I'd have done it - my dd was dressed in a santa suit her first Christmas .

I did put her in a pretty dress for the rest of the day - but she'd have been more comfy in the santa suit.

bookwormmum · 17/10/2007 16:32

I'm currently making my dd re-use her bat dress for the 4th year in a row (it's aged 4-7 and is only worn for a few days each year). Make the most of pumpkin babies whilst you can!

erniesmama · 17/10/2007 16:35

The older kids will love it too! A friend once dressed her baby as a skeleton with full face paint -- now that's scary! Halloween is naff but fun; enjoy!

liath · 17/10/2007 16:36
  • might go for it. It just struck me as one of those "bright" ideas that seem good on Planet Mummy but pretty sad in the real world. LOL at dressing up the alsatians.

andiem · 17/10/2007 16:46

me too me too

inthegutter · 17/10/2007 16:50

No No No - you're making your child look ridiculous and playing into the hands of the supermarkets which seem to have a scarily huge array of naff costumes/accessories for every conceivable occasion.

MuffinMclay · 17/10/2007 17:05

Not my cup of tea at all, but he is yours to dress as you like. Doubt he'll be scarred for life unless you keep bringing out the photos in his teenage years.

nickigreen · 17/10/2007 17:06
