3 separate friends in the last couple of days....

“Well done to my amazing little Jonny who is absolutely smashing it at school and his teacher has already said he is a child genius....”

Well not exactly that but you get the drift.

Just why?

Omg! How cringe worthy! Do people really start these type of threads?
What do they expect to gain from it? Validation? A virtual pat on the back for not being 'that' parent?

Why does anyone post anything anyway?

There's another thread like this as well. Most of the posters sound like total bellends. It seems to have become fashionable to moan about our kids, say what shits they are and how they're driving us to drink a lot of gin. It has to be gin or wine. It can't be four cans of Castlemaine XXXX. And then we're supposed to knock the parents who take pride in their children? It's awful. I think the sun shines out of my kid's arse. I don't mind telling people. She's wonderful. I don't have to drink wine because of her or call her names. I must not be one of the cool mums. Bunch of dicks.

Because they are people who like to give information that will help burglars. Who can work out which school they go to, perhaps which year, and next time there is an event the parents may go to, can check it is empty and burgle it.

Pride. But yes it,s annoying.

cloverbug · 15/11/2020 10:34

Because they're proud. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Why would it even bother you?

Netflix : the social dilemma

Watch that. Will answer everything.

Also, at the end, the developers of SM won't engage in SM thierselves, or let thier kids anywhere near it.

It says alot.
