Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

Looking forward to an update .

RandomMess · 13/11/2020 11:24

Hope all is well I am intrigued to know how far along you are!

A colleagues DIL didn't know she was pregnant thought she had appendicitis the staff waited until they got her into A&E to tell her she was in Labour!! Was a small but full term baby, was a Pilates teacher so flat stomach and pill induced "periods" throughout!

Colleague thought her son was winding her up until she went to visit at the maternity unit!

HollaHolla · 13/11/2020 11:25

Wow! Congrats OP. You hear of these stories happening, and think ‘nope - they had to know’, but as you say, you’ve had periods and you could write off other symptoms to other things.
Glad your DP is so supportive and chilled.
Hope it goes well today.

Totes placemarking for scan update :)

dizzycatdance2 · 13/11/2020 11:46

Watching with interest here, I love a "I didn't know" story.

A friend of my niece came into 6th form on a Monday morning , totally shocked, saying "my mum had a baby on Saturday".

Her mum , a farmer's wife, had been lambing, farm work etc totally unaware of the baby until her waters broke. 4 hours to "prepare" for a new baby ,17 year age gap !

Whattheactual20201 · 13/11/2020 12:00

@dizzycatdance2 jeez luckily it seems I have about 6-10 weeks to prepare 🤣 I think the likely hood is will be induced at 36-37 weeks because of previous labours. But even 6 weeks seems daunting haha !
