My vagina & anus? (It says not to)

I get regular Hollywood waxes & had one booked for the day after lockdown which obviously never happened!
I really can't stand shaving. It doesn't give you that smooth feeling and it grows back quicker & itchy.
I'm desperate as it has been 7 weeks.

YABU - Don't do it. Just live with it.
YANBU - Do it. I would!

@Monty27

OP do you actually have hair on your vulva? 😳
Do you not?? Most women have hair on their labia. If you don't then you are unusual
AbuDhabiYouDoYou · 10/11/2020 07:28

It burns so bad in my experience!

violetclouds · 10/11/2020 07:29

@Cluckycluck I'm so glad I read your post, I'm 31 weeks and after reading this thread thought I'd give the veet a go today!
I think I'll leave it 🤣😳

dementedpixie · 10/11/2020 07:34

Do people not know their vulva (whole vaginal area including labia) from their vagina (opening of the vaginal canal)?

I think they don't!
anxiiousone · 10/11/2020 07:52

"The vulva includes the mons pubis (or mons veneris), labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, vestibular bulbs, vulval vestibule, urinary meatus, the vaginal opening, hymen, and Bartholin's and Skene's vestibular glands. The urinary meatus is also included as it opens into the vulval vestibule"

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulva

I didn't realise it covered as much as all that!

It does include the lips but I don't think you'd want Veet on some of the other bits...

I erroneously believed it was just the bits between the lips

I cannot believe I am learning about the vulva while I eat my morning toastGrin

Thecherryontheverytop · 10/11/2020 08:04

Does lumea not hurt in those areas?
I stupidly once tried to use my trial laser on my vulva and oh my god the painSad.
Never again. But if lumea doesn't hurt then I'd buy one just for that.

Thecherryontheverytop · 10/11/2020 08:04

Tria laser*

Grow it out a little. Nobody wants to look like a barbie doll down there. I don't mean a pant-afro, but something is better than nothing...

Plenty of women do want to look smooth though. That's why they remove all their hair.

Always makes me laugh

This thread made me think of that too. It’s hysterical

Yeah I get that, and it can feel fresher/cleaner at THAT time, but it's not for me/us. Each to their own.

Right. But you said 'nobody wants to look like...' when you meant you don't want to look like.
Jennarotersy · 10/11/2020 09:05

Magic hair removal cream is far superior IME

PawPawNoodle · 10/11/2020 09:12

As someone that got a minor chemical burn from veeting their bag, I would wholeheartedly recommend Woo Woo. Its a shower one as well so you don't need to sit like John Wayne for 5 minutes while it works.

Yes, that's why there's absolutely no consumer demand, products or services for hair removal in this area.
OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 10/11/2020 09:23

Bit late to the game but another recommendation for woowoo here. Found the initial 6 then 8 minutes wasn't enough for it to be consistent but then saw some reviews where people left it on for longer. I leave mine on for 12 mins now and it all comes off quite easily with no burn unlike veet and nair

Doggybiccys · 10/11/2020 09:27

I tried veet once down there and I honestly thought my clitoris was going to combust. I was scared of losing permanent sensation in it. From memory, I’m pretty sure it says on the instructions not to use it there but I did anyway. So I wouldn’t recommend it.

SlipperTripper · 10/11/2020 09:34

Thread has reminded me of one DH daftest moments. He decided to try something new and VEET his bollocks (no idea, he's an idiot).

Two blistered balls and a melted bag of frozen peas later, he's never ventured near my side of the bathroom cabinet again.

BoulangerieBabs · 10/11/2020 09:40

Confused how do you know if you have a hairy anus? Or exactly how hairy it is?

I mean does your other half go in for an inspection? You pick around with your finger?

Another one here in my 50's to wonder how I've been so sheltered from this practice.

doadeer · 10/11/2020 10:21

I think it's too late but I would have just used wax at home.

My mum is mid 50s and she always had Brazilian waxes for years which remove all of this until she did laser hair removal, so I'm not sure it's an age thing not knowing people do this?

I'm surprised people don't know where they have hair... Don't you feel it when you wash?

dementedpixie · 10/11/2020 10:25

Surely you can feel if you have hair around your bum hole? I have some too. I clip mine back with a lady shave

CorianderBlues · 10/11/2020 10:30

A lot of the descriptions in this thread remind me of a story I once heard involving using toothpaste as lube Grin

Rainbowx · 10/11/2020 10:32

No use woo woo hair removal cream it's designed for that whole area works wonders for me no burning etc
