To think the Four Seasons Total Landscaping farce is the funniest thing to have happened in 2020

I’m still laughing about this.

Trump’s people thought they were booking the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia for his big presser yesterday, and it turned out to be the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot between a dildo store and a crematorium where Rudy Giuliani had to then speak. Surreal, but yet somehow a fitting end to the last 4 years of buffoonery.

Satirists across the world must be in despair about how they can possibly hope to work with the reality of politics these days. You certainly couldn’t make shows like The Thick of It any more.

SwedishEdith · 08/11/2020 11:10

@Gingernaut

I really was laughing out loud yesterday.

The setting, the tweets, the reports and Rudolph Giuliani having some sort of psychotic break - it's Spinal Tap and The Thick of It all rolled into one.

It's perfect. Amazing how quickly power seeps away.

The images remind me of Farage and his march.

@ancientgran

Maybe I'm soft but I'm worrying about some junior who was given this task and is going to get hell for the mix up.
They will be lauded to kingdom come if they out themselves!
Spudina · 08/11/2020 11:11

This story is amazing. Can you imagine the world of trouble the person who booked it is in?

ancientgran · 08/11/2020 11:13

They will be lauded to kingdom come if they out themselves! I hope so, if they survive! Maybe they will never go back, they won't have a job anyway so what's the point?

keeprocking · 08/11/2020 11:15

DIdn't they forget to book accommodation In Hamburg for the G8 Summit, early in his Presidency? Apparently all hell was let loose about that.

Roussette · 08/11/2020 11:16

I doubt he or she cares, Trump is defunct now.

It was classic, loved it!

Every President has a Presidential Library dedicated to them. They are esteemed places, at Universities and the like.

Trump now has his. Here it is.

I feel sorry for the owners of the sex shop. Giuliani, Trump and their like totally lowering the tone of the neighbourhood.

Bookishandblondish · 08/11/2020 11:17

I reckon staffer told to book Four Seasons. Tried to book but hotel refuses booking (unlikely to get paid - trump has form - doubt it’s about the optics as large scale hotels generally stay fairly neutral as they want everyone’s business). Catch - it’s already been announced world wide so staffer told to find anywhere with Four Seasons in name. Will still be in trouble - but then already knows theres no job anymore as campaign failed.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 08/11/2020 11:25

The owner of the sex shop was reported as complaining because the press cars were blocking his parking lot for his customers.
So just press cars, no supporters turned up Grin
Being next to Fantasy Island appropriate for the Orange One that has won bigly.

@DillonPanthersTexas

In fairness Trump would not look out of place in the dildo shop.
Nor Guiliani.

(Google the clip from the latest Borat film if you haven't already. Warning - you will need copious quantities of brain bleach.)

mumwon · 08/11/2020 11:31

What I wonder is if Four Seasons landscaping worked for Trump (doing his golf clubs lawns dh suggests) supports Trump rang up & the Trump admin misheard the full name of the company ... perhaps FSL is a Trump supporter - Grin
Whatever it is its hilarious

Iamagree · 08/11/2020 11:43

All it needed was Borat to turn up to make Giuliani's humiliation complete...

Dogman2020 · 08/11/2020 11:45

@Calicomog

It was the furious assertion that Will Smiths late father was committing voter fraud in Philli that was the cherry on that bun
I honestly thought i'd dreamt that part Grin .

The entire thing was amazing to watch!

kursaalflyer · 08/11/2020 11:47

I can't stop laughing at this thread! I did wonder yesterday when watching Guiliano where they were but just assumed it was his business address or something!

LadyWithLapdog · 08/11/2020 11:54

The unraveling of the Trumper is deliciously humiliating. Good riddance.

Cam77 · 08/11/2020 11:54

The Parking Lot thing is hilarious. Nigel Farage not so much....
I just still can’t believe that such a superficial, hypocritical (he will still enjoy many EU rights thanks to his wife), bullshiting populist (but with zilch charisma) has effectively dictated the course of this country for the next couple of decades. It’s fucking tragic. Brexit will be far worse for Britain than four years of Trump was for America.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 08/11/2020 11:56

@JesusInTheCabbageVan

It's certainly up there Grin But there's also Farage's £10,000 bet...
It makes me sick that prick can afford to throw ten grand away and the smug frog face he pulls makes me want to punch him in it. There’s an early years play centre, for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, near me that needs ten grand to keep going and to build an outdoor shelter so they can offer a safe environment to play outside during COVID. They’ve set up a crowd funder for it. And it’s in the part of the country where he used to ply his trade for his vanity project of trying to get elected as an MP. Clearly not someone who would ever have given a shit about his constituents, that much is obvious, but to see the odious slug has enough money to throw ten grand away is rage inducing. I knew it was too much to ask that, after the Brexit vote, he’d just fuck off. Sorry, rant over
AlternativePerspective · 08/11/2020 11:56

What I want to know is:

Who are the 3% who voted YABU. Come on,show yourself Don..... Grin

3ormorecharacters · 08/11/2020 11:57

I saw Trump tweet that the press conference was happening and noted the 'unusual' location. I had a feeling that it had all the makings of a classic. I was all excited to watch it live on CNN and actually a little disappointed when they announced Biden as the winner instead. 😂

Cam77 · 08/11/2020 11:59

All it took was a few months of campaigning to get rid of Trump. But there’s no way back from Brexit - our economy is heading off a cliff and there’s little any British government, Tory or Labour, can do to save it now.

AlternativePerspective · 08/11/2020 12:03

Clearly he’s going to punish whoever it was to the full extent of the lawn.

GabsAlot · 08/11/2020 12:04

its brilliant couldnt stop laughing at them
