Annoyed by the lady in the green top!!

So is it just me. For last few days my Mumsnet has been haunted by a lady in a green top. Not sure if Mumsnet think this is advertising? But is basically just annoying me!

Oh, now, I have an adblocker on my laptop, but not on my phone. I'm usually scrolling too fast to let ads materialise, so I just had a look and got one for a coffee machine thing. I hate coffee, and so does everyone in my house. I don't know what that means, but it's definitely not down to things I've been looking at.

Yep I get green top lady. So annoying. For a while, in the summer, I had un ironed yellow dress lady who seemed to advertise both cake making and holidays but always in the same wrinkled up dress.

I'm being followed round the internet by a red dress. It's quite a nice dress but I don't want to buy it! Also a pair of Chelsea boots that I do want to buy but they are £150.

I had green top woman last week! She kept popping up and getting in the way of the screen and refusing to go away! Spoiler alert, I seem to be rid of her now and have sexy lingerie models instead so you may be in for a treat next week op! Grin

This woman is making me feel murderous! I’ve never stick around long enough to hear what she’s so enthusiastically pushing.

I did have some very graphic earwax ads for a while, too.

I got a lactose intolerant advert! Lady clutching her tummy! There is nothing wrong with my tummy! But no lady in a green top!

I just have a yellow box on the bottom of my screen saying that

But the only interfering its doing is stopping the green top lady.... bargin

I’ve been getting her appear too. Today I’m getting nothing but subscriptions for glitter. I hate glitter so that’s odd. A while ago my Facebook was filled with nothing but ads for googly eyes.

I remember a few Halloweens ago there was some disgusting ad for a recipe that was sausages cut up to look like fingers, with almonds for the nails. It made me feel so sick I avoided mumsnet for an entire month to make sure it was safe. It was there for ages!

Now I get boiler ads all the time. Well I am constantly cold...

Not rtft so someone may have said this already but there was a thread on here when she first appeared - titled "how do I get rid of this woman?" or something like that. Several people thought it was someone looking for a hitman from the title! So she clearly sparks strong feelings!

Download StopAd, it’s a free advert blocker. Another forum I use was almost covered by an ad last week so I blocked cookies and pop ups too.
Sorry to contradict you but StopAd isn't free, certainly not the one I've just looked at (iOS iPad) - it charges you £20 after a 3 day trial. Complaint on the app from someone saying how sneaky they are for not being clear enough.
