To ask you how to find underpants that don't dig in?

This sounds ridiculous now I'm writing it but do other people find that most underpants ride up, give you a wedgie and feel like they're cutting off the blood supply at the top of your legs all at the same time?

It's not that I'm in denial about my size! I find that they just seem to go wedgie like and the bit around the leg holes always digs in on the inside of the groin area joint!

Does anyone else find this to be a problem? I've tried boy shorts, bikini style (the worst offenders) and a variety of pretty ones but all I want is some cotton pants that don't throttle my groin 😬

Is there a particular style or a brand anyone swears by? I'd be very grateful as I'm at the point of possibly giving up on pants and just wearing pyjama bottoms all the time!

I get where you're coming from OP!
My comfiest pants are from Boux Avenue (the 3 for £12 section).
Comfortable and very good quality.

@BadlyDrawnSimpsonsCharacter that's very encouraging to hear! What pant style do you buy?

Have you tried high leg?

BadlyDrawnSimpsonsCharacter · 07/11/2020 00:31

@nc1962 they're like shorts, but more comfy. Have a look on the website for some ideas Smile

MiddleClassProblem · 07/11/2020 00:32

Following! High leg can still cut my inner thigh/groin area

Yvetteserviette · 07/11/2020 00:34

Thunderpants have totally changed my level of underwear comfort- they are not cheap but all cotton and stay where they are supposed to! I get the 'original' full brief ones www.thunderpants.co.nz/collections/original-thunderpants-women

Valkadin · 07/11/2020 00:38

Buy boy shorts style underwear with no seams.

SweetMilkyFilth · 07/11/2020 00:40

I buy the high leg pure cotton pants from M&S in a size up. So comfy! They are boring and plain but cheap and 100% cotton which is nice for every day wear. The jersey shortie briefs from h&m are also comfy!

ScottishStottie · 07/11/2020 00:44

I size up and it seems to resolve any issues.

nc1962 · 07/11/2020 00:47

I have tried taking bigger sizes but I find it just ends up having a sort of hammock effect like a giant wedgie!

Supermarket full briefs. Bought them when I was pregnant and still have them - My DD is now 10. Grin

minipie · 07/11/2020 00:56

Gap cotton bikini. Only pants that don’t crawl up my bum, with no harsh elastic.

QuestionableMouse · 07/11/2020 01:05

I buy big pants from M&S and trim the elastic off the legs.

LeSquigh · 07/11/2020 01:07

@SheilaWilcox me too! Still wearing them 3 years after pregnancy. Unfortunately in the same size 🤣

22Giraffes · 07/11/2020 01:10

Full briefs from Morrison's! Cheap, comfy and can pick them up with my shopping Grin

PastelPompoms · 07/11/2020 01:11

Marks and Spencer full briefs. Total comfort and no wedgies Wink

Larvava · 07/11/2020 01:15

I am large in the bum/thigh area and I find it impossible to find any underwear that doesn’t end up getting seriously uncomfortable.
The only underwear I find bearable are the no seam thongs made out of that really stretchy material probably because they’re already in that area so have nowhere to disappear to.

Chloemol · 07/11/2020 01:18

M and s full briefs

Ermmmmname · 07/11/2020 01:22

High rise Victoria’s Secret cotton. Sometimes buy a size up. So so comfy. I’ve also got some of their no vpl ones and also comfy but pricey.
I’ve had M&S cotton high waist before and they weren’t bad but the elastic got a bit tight after a few months.

Itsagrandoldteam · 07/11/2020 01:26

I prefer the ones that have a bit of lycra in them, gives them a bit of stretch. I usually get my pants from Sainsburys, they seem to be the most comfortable and fit me the best.

m0therofdragons · 07/11/2020 01:30

I size up for sexy ones but I do live my old giant pants from M&S I bought for post csection. They are a size 16 and I’m a 12 now but they’re my period pants. Recently bought tesco pants and there’s no stretch. Horrible but looked pretty on the hanger.

nc1962 · 07/11/2020 01:31

I'm wondering if my thighs are a bit big compared to the rest of me and that's why they're so uncomfortable. The pair I've got on now are driving me mad, they're going in the bin when I take them off.

Hmm I’ve never met another woman who refers to her knickers as “underpants”.

Yvetteserviette · 07/11/2020 04:09

They're called underpants by most people here in Aus. 'Pants' means trousers here
