... no matter how mean spirited you were or how awful your personal situation was?

OP posts:
TitianaTitsling · 06/11/2020 23:00

I'd rather hokie kokie than the bloody slosh!

378990fgj · 06/11/2020 23:01

There has never been a situation in which anyone has offered me an okey cokey.

I feel slighted.

378990fgj · 06/11/2020 23:02

Is it one of those things that turns out to be illegal and everyone laughs because I didn't realise?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 06/11/2020 23:02

do you mean the Hokey Pokey? Cos, round here, that IS what its all about.

It has been quite some time since I've said okay to cokey. I think I might just have a heart attack I tried that one. Strong coffee makes my heart pound these days :)

motorcyclenumptiness · 06/11/2020 23:03

Pig in a pokey?

Not having it. I have refused. I detoured to the Ladies.
I’m a killjoy !

37weekswithno2 · 06/11/2020 23:06

I hated the Hokey Cokey even as a child.

I'd join in with my 4yo though if he wanted to do it.

Mousepad20 · 06/11/2020 23:08

@Cherrysoup Grin

sleepwouldbenice · 06/11/2020 23:08

I would probably refuse to do it during a pandemic.....is that a good enough excuse I wonder 😁

I am still appallingly scarred by having to do the Chicken Dance in a village hall in the 1990s

Merename · 06/11/2020 23:14

We seem confident that OP is talking about the Hokey Cokey but really? What a random opening post!

Anordinarymum · 06/11/2020 23:19

If I have had a few shandies I will do almost anything including shinning up lamposts or peeing in the front garden, so the hokey cokey is perfectly acceptable.

Having said this I haven't done any of these antics for years and more's the pity.

I remember with fondness a girl's night out when we left a pub and one friend pushed me down a street in one of those low down trolleys like you find in a garden centre. When we got to the bottom of the street I fell out and landed in dog dirt and had no idea until we got into the warm pub :(

Oh happy silly bloody days.

Diversion · 06/11/2020 23:30

@PamDemic dfinitely with you on both of those!

Or did she mean an 'okey dokey' because that can be extremely patronising given the circumstances :)
funkylittleboatrace · 06/11/2020 23:43

Cupid shuffle for me

Davros · 06/11/2020 23:47

Love it. Had one at my birthday party last January. And a conga!

BigBadVoodooHat · 06/11/2020 23:52

It's HOkey Cokey

Thank you! Why would anyone think it’s ‘okey cokey’? Or is this some urban slang drugs reference and we’re all being tricked into merrily chatting about a cheesy party sing when it’s actually code for having cocaine licked off your pranny? Confused

GabsAlot · 06/11/2020 23:53

@CaveMum

Nah, gotta be a Macarena, or if you feel really adventurous a Cha Cha Slide.

No one does The Superman anymore though [sad face]

Well, I 'Just Can't Get Enough' of this thread..... or at least that's my go-to song for having a knees-up.
As for what this thread is about, it's too late for my brain to even try to compute. 🤷🏻‍♀️

jessicagrace1972 · 07/11/2020 00:05

I would never because surely that's what it's all about?

teaandcustardcreamsx · 07/11/2020 00:12

Just do the Hokey Cokey then turn around 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I bloody loved it! My friend and I once almost fell down a mountain doing the Hokey Cokey Grin

Superman was great too oh I missed that. Cha cha slide too, macarena and the ketchup song!

spray!

Sneeze! or don’t, at least not now with everything

Cherrysoup · 07/11/2020 00:12
