To think expensive facial moisturiser is no better than cheaper variety? Any recommendations?

It’s my friends birthday and I was wondering whether to get her a more expensive facial moisturiser/serum product for everyday use.

A- I’m not sure where to begin?

B- part of me thinks it’s a waste as a bottle of £50 moisturiser will be no bette than a £8 bottle? You know for wrinkles and all....

What are your thoughts?

I’ve had testers of the more expensive ones and they smell really nice. Fresh, clinical and clean smelling as oppose to genetic overbearing smell the the cheaper ones seem to smell like.

She’s 41 on her bday. No more than £50 maximum.

Thanks

My £6 Cera Ve is far better than my £40 Estee Lauder moisturiser!

I can never have enough hand cream myself. Chocolate can be personal as well, I like dark chocolate but have to tell people to please not buy it for me as I have ended up with Black Magic on more than one occasion (Nestle, and inedible).
