Morrisons More - Theft

I just wanted to let everyone know that your More points are not safe. I have just discovered that the points I was saving all year for Christmas have been stolen.

Morrisons more will not reimburse the points even though they were used hundreds of miles from my location and I had requested online only and they were used in store.

I haven't lost my card. They claim it was my password. I use the random password generator so it is unique to that website. They will not take responsibility.

So check your points and spend them as soon as possible. So annoyed Angry

@marveloustimeruiningeverything

Suspect it's an internal theft, frankly.
Agree. Inside job.

Same thing has just happened to me, my more points were redeemed 300 miles away in Kent, I live in Wales and cannot travel to a tier 3 area of England, apart from the fact that I was at my local vets with my sick dog on the day the vouchers were used (have receipt).
The more vouchers have to be requested 24 hours in advance of being printed so how strange is it that it was exactly the same day that I received an e-mail from Morrisons asking me to download their new app which is more secure.
So I think there had been a breach of their security and they were aware of this which is why they sent me the e-mail to try and cover their arses.
Over 20 years of shopping at Morrisons has now ended and I will never shop at that store ever again.

I couldn’t figure out how to redeem my online points so I asked the instore customer service. They told me the vouchers should be available in 5 minutes . They were there when I went to the checkout. Vouchers can be just as unsafe . My friend had £150 of vouchers in her handbag for her Christmas shop. While she was getting ready a sneak thief came in the back door and took her purse and vouchers. There was no way to replace them.

I lost my nectar points not once but twice with double purchases within 2 minutes of each other at a store in plumstead. Never been to plumstead. Gave me a negative balance of minus £76.
Nectar were brilliant. Closed my account and opened new one straightaway, gave me my full balance back plus a £10 bonus!

I tried to redeem mine when I was in Iceland. I was only four miles away from home. I then tried it when I went to Morrisons and it was fine.

This is still happening and just happened to me ...I have been steadily amassing points for a good while now. I recently decided to check my balance, and was horrified to find that my balance (equating to £45 worth of vouchers), had been converted into £5 vouchers and spent, over 100 miles away from me. I reported this to Morrisons immediately, who said they would cancel my card, and investigate ... After investigating, I fully expected they would see that it wasn't me who spent the points and that I would be re-imbursed in full. However, the outcome of the investigation, following several emails to and fro (including one to the CEO!), was that Morrisons will accept absolutely no responsibility whatsoever, and will lay the blame firmly at your door. Through my own investigations, I found that this had happened on several occasions previously ... Morrisons reaction to this ... again, absolutely nothing !! Absolutely disgusting !! For me, it's not so much the value of vouchers, but the principle, that such a big company can just wash their hands of any responsibility. I know that many people save up and look forward to spending accrued points.

My message to you is: as soon as you have enough points, cash them in and spend them ... and don't let Morrisons steal them back!

My experience was very different. I had saved up my Morrisons points all year and mid December requested £100 of vouchers intending to spend them for Christmas. However I contracted Covid so was not able to go in store to pick them up when planned and Christmas plans were cancelled anyway. When I recovered and next went shopping my vouchers did not appear. Checked my account and was shocked to see it the vouchers had been collected during the period I had Covid and was self isolating. Emailed Customer Services who contacted me very quickly to get further information. 48 hours later the points were added back to my account in full. I didn't want to risk them disappearing again and arranged to collect the vouchers a few days later.
