that me and my family have to spend half term self isolating.

I am a solicitor and last week I met a client to sign up documents for a completion. Today I got a call from work to say the client had tested positive for Covid.

I was contacted by track and trace and now have to be tested tomorrow and Friday. If all clear I can resume contact with society by Sunday at the earliest.

My whole family have to stay at home until I have 2 clear tests.

It is what is is, but seriously what a shit show

@Girlzroolz is not being mean, she is concerned about her grandma's life, the OP is concerned about his kids having a boring half term.

Op I get it's annoying but being monumentally fucked off is frankly overreacting. At least you get the opportunity to test at 5 and 8 days. My husband had to isolate for 2 weeks because a friend tested positive, there was no opportunity for a test unless he cheated the system.

Same here. A much longed for week off is shit.

@Girlzroolz & my dearly dearly beloved grandma died a month ago in a broadly similar set up. But I can still see why the OP is fed up. I would be too. Not refusing to do it, just fed up. Fair enough. It’s not a misery competition.
