Any miracle verruca solutions?

My dd has a quite a large verruca on her foot, we were told for a few years it would go away on its own but after around 4 years it’s just got bigger and more painful. She struggles walking on it for long periods of time especially when she is at work as she’s on her feet the whole time. She is always trying to walk on the side of her foot to avoid pressure on the verruca as it’s painful. We did speak to a pharmacist in who had a quick look at it and said that she doesn’t think any treatment will work only minor surgery due to how bad it is and the fact that nothing else has worked. We’ve tried duct tape which ended up giving her really red irritated skin, we tried different over the counter verruca products, filing it down every day, I’ve even been at it with a Stanley knife Confused. Are there any miracle solutions any of you have used that you’d be willing to share? It’s so painful and she really wants to get rid of it Smile

Another vote for the magic healing powers of tea tree oil.
My son had a large wart on his hand which wouldn’t respond to anything I tried (bazuka etc) so on a friend’s suggestion I covered it with a plaster soaked in a few drops of tea tree oil every night. Within a week to ten days it had gone. Couldn’t believe it. And neither could my doctor brother in law who is still sceptical, but it worked a treat,

My 13 year old had one about 5 years ago, that grew into some, and we tried everything. He cu them out with a scalpel a few weeks ago and all seems fine now.

Verrucas do not have roots!!! Those black bits are blood vessels.
Corns don't have roots either.
Your podiatrist sounds like an idiot.

Salactol from the chemist. It's incredible stuff.

I’ve been using bazuka and filing for 2 weeks on my 6 year old which only seems to have made it get bigger. Ive tried duct tape but it won’t stay stuck on. I’ll stick with the bazuka for a couple more weeks but if I don’t see any improvement I’ll try nail polish next...

Thank you all for you suggestions, went to see the pharmacist today who said she needed to see a doctor and no OTC stuff would work, doctor told us to try bazuka again or wait until it falls out Hmm going to give the nail varnish idea a try I’ve seen it pop up in quite a few suggestions if not think we’ll look at paying for it to be removed. Thanks again everyone Smile
