Jam Shed

Holy shit, why is it so sweet?! Sad

A lovely friend gave me a bottle of Jam Shed Shiraz...do they do other reds?

Jesus, I love red wine, and after a pretty misspent youth I thought I still had an 'I'll drink ote' mentality, but, my god, this is difficult.

Of course I have only said a huge thank you. But does anyone enjoy this? Really?

YABU it's delicious
YANBU it's vile...and probably has actual jam in it Envy

YANBU it's disgusting!

I thought this thread was going to be about an outhouse to keep your homemade jam cool!!

I like it, but then I really like port as well. It’s not a knock back the whole bottle kind of wine though - too sweet and it’s quite pokey. It would probably improve with time as well.

It's gone down the plug hole. I just couldn't. I didn't even want to stick it in a bolognese.

I bought a bottle out of curiosity but when i read the label i couldn't drink it as it contains EGG?! WTF! (I'm allergic)

But why would wine have egg in it? It also contained milk...

SabrinaThwaite · 20/10/2020 12:37

Some winemakers use milk / egg / isinglass / gelatine etc as fining agents, which is why vegans / vegetarians need to check labels.

SabrinaThwaite · 20/10/2020 12:40

BTW, technically there shouldn’t be any traces of fining agents left in the wine, but some countries require any allergens used in the process to be listed on the label.
