Heard someone saying this yesterday in a pub to the waitress. She asked if he had scanned his track and trace app and he said "I can't have the app, I work for the nhs in a hospital so it would be going off all the time". AIBU to think this is BS?! Surely if you work somewhere you could be exposed or expose others regularly that's all the more reason to have it?? Or am I missing something

DB is a pharmacist in a large teaching hospital. They have been told they are not to download the app.

They don't want hospital staff to be off.

The app is a pile of rubbish. Completely pointless and flawed in so many ways and simply just a token to make the public feel like they are a bit safer.

advice from my NHS Trust is that if we have the app we need to have bluetooth and location turned off when working on site.

I've got it and I'm front line NHS I just turn it off when I'm in work

Nobody can be compelled to download it regardless of where he works.
