If you are slim, what, in your opinion, keeps you that way?

I read the other thread with interest and as an obese person a lot of the comments range true but it made me wonder. Those of you who are in the ideal/normal weight category, what do you attribute that to?

Im not slim, but theres a simple equation here. To maintain weight, need to takw in the same amount of energy as you expend. To lose weight, take in less than you expend , to gain weight, take in more than you expend.

Some people have lifestyle habuts, jobs, eatung patterns that support slimness, others don't.

@MiddlesexGirl

Good for you for getting so fit - I used to think that would be me "one day" but at 51 it doesn't seem that likely ....

Why? Medical reasons aside there's no reason you can't get super fit and toned in your 50s and beyond.

@MiddlesexGirl acceptance that at heart I am lazy! I don't drive though, so actually do a lot of walking. It was slightly tongue-in-cheek, as in "when I grow up I'll exercise all the time". I know now that I won't, because I don't want to!
