@dancinfeet

The bit in Titanic where Rose stands on the end of her toes in the party scene. Very few people can do this without proper supportive pointe shoes anyway, and it's really obvious that the feet in the film shot are not supporting any body weight at all. It's such a daft and unnecessary bit of the story
Not to mention that if Irish people, including those travelling steerage to the US on Titanic, have anything in common, it’s a dislike of ‘notions’ (well, and Bono), so a dopey rich girl slumming it and deciding to show off her ballet skillz in the middle of a céilidh while mildly pissed would have got short shrift. Someone might have muttered ‘Scarlet for ya.’

@Nocaloriesinchocolate

in the Crown, whenever there's a scene when HM is getting ready for bed - she never has a wash or cleans her teeth. It's undressed, into nightie and straight into bed
I notice all the time in films people get up and immediately get dressed without washing. Yuck.

I give you Airport: Concorde

Part of the airport film franchise. A journalist is on Concorde with papers showing an arms dealer is being dodgy. So said arms dealer fires missiles at Concorde which then dodges them by performing aerobatics and firing a flare from the window. It then gets attacked by a fighter jet

DoTheMaccaroni · 17/10/2020 08:43

I’ve never understood the scene in the live action 101 Dalmatians where they very suddenly get engaged after knowing each other for 5 mins. And THEN his clothes go up in flames whilst they’re drying by the fire?! But it’s no big deal? Oh wait, are they trying to be like “look they’re so in love they haven’t noticed the flames?” God knows.

treeinthedistance · 17/10/2020 08:51

The scene in Fast and Furious 8 where the cars start driving around by themselves and falling from the sky...I know you expect a certain level of ridiculousness from the F&F films but this was a bit too silly even for them.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 17/10/2020 11:16

Can’t remember what murder mystery drama it was but someone was in a hospital bed and recieving CPR...whilst sat up, and the doctor was just bending his elbows rather than pretending to put any weight into it. Just ridiculous. Then suddenly the patient went from unconscious to chatting as though nothing had happened, as so often happens on TV. But it got even sillier when one detective said to another, “He’s had a small bleed to the brain but is going to be OK”. Hmmm, sounds like bollocks to me 🙄😆

@MolyHolyGuacamole

The airport scene in Love Actually, with the child dodging all the airport security and jumping over hurdles to get the 'love of his life' 🤢 makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Dramatic airport scenes are always bad in movies, more so that the lovebirds were children

I dont mind that scene but the one where Marl knocks on Juliet's door with his CD player and boards declaring his love for her then she runs after him and kissed him is VERY cringy. Especially as she has just married his best friend.

@dannydyerismydad

Keanu's flying bus in Speed.

But it's Keanu. So I'll forgive him.

I love Keanu very much but I'm still baffled why he did Knock Knock The whole film is awful.
Cassilis · 17/10/2020 11:32

Keanu needs to put food on the table.

MrsKJones · 17/10/2020 11:45

The knowing with Nic Cage - i love me some Cage but that film was truly awful

Any film where they couple make love and then he or she rolls off and lays next to their partner - I always need to go for a wee after sex.

Any scary movie where the killer wears a mask (i'm looking at you Scream) - and gets knocked out and the victim just runs away - take his bloody mask off so you know who is after you. Although this would mean the film would end an hour earlier than its supposed to

chomalungma · 17/10/2020 19:43

Another Nic Cage on.

Left Behind.

People who are good Christians have been taken up in the rapture. Their clothes have been left behind.

Everyone else has been left. People from other religions, bad people, atheists etc.

Nic Cage plays a pilot. It is just ridiculous.

CruCru · 17/10/2020 19:59

Pretty much all of 365 days. It would have been a better film if she’d actually been afraid of the scary mafia dude (although quite a different film). However she just prances about wearing skimpy clothes and makes the scary mafia dude buy her stuff.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 17/10/2020 20:01

yes!!! And Madge found just his spectacles washed up on a rock

Aposterhasnoname · 18/10/2020 08:56

Every James Bond film ever where the bad guy captures Bond at gunpoint then tries to kill him by slowly lowering him into a tank of sharks, or cut him in half with a laser etc, instead of just, you know, shooting him.

It definitely didnt take 365 days for her to fall for him. It was more like 365 minutes.
