Posting here for traffic really...

Off the back of the current "how much do you earn thread?

Just that really...if you earn 15k or less?
What do you do?
Is it part time/full time?
Is it a stopping gap or a career path?
Do you think you are paid adequately?

This was me for a few years and while money was so tight (single parent) and there was bucket loads of stress with that, I had so much more time with my dc. Not only after school but weekends weren't a mad scramble of errands and trying to recover from the week.

Now I'm in a better paid job with more hours, but it's a job that doesn't end when I leave. It means there's always things to worry about and work to be done. It also involves some evening shifts.

While I needed to do this and earn more, and it will help my dc in many ways like security and helping with Uni in the future, it has not been without significant compromises. They are worth it, but I do hope to have better balance soon.

Part time here too

I was working 20 hours a week but now it’s about 30 ish.

I earn about 13k a year

I work 2 days a week and earn 14.5k
It’s enough for me.
