To wonder why my toddlers hair won’t grow

My daughter is 3 and is pretty much still bald! She has a small amount of hair but not enough to even tie up, like I said she’s practically bald, why won’t it grow? I know it’s just hair but she starts school next year so it’s starting to worry me about teasing etc, I don’t know anyone that has a child of 3 that’s basically still bald. AIBU to wonder why it isn’t growing?

She looks great.

If you have a small very soft baby brush, brush her scalp every day 100 or 200 times.

This brings blood to the scalp and can really help.

One of my teenage daughters did this as she felt her hair was thin, about 2 years ago.

The difference is extraordinary.
She does it EVERY day!

It looks like she has such curly hair that makes it look shorter. Good luck with that in a few years Grin it’ll be wild! My friends ds had no visible hair till well after starting school, he has really thick blond hair now although a very high hairline.

@TheTeenageYears

Hair grows best when it's healthy, cutting hair helps to keep it healthy and therefore aids growth so cutting it won't make it grow any quicker but it will keep it healthier than not cutting it.
Cutting hair does not make it grow better. All the growth etc is below the scalp so cutting it does not make it ‘healthier’.

Youngest daughter had very short hair that wouldn't grow at around that age. By the time she started school her hair was below her shoulders. Sometimes it just takes a while to get going.

Should say DD has curly hair.
