To not want to talk about the food I’m eating

It is a minor thing but DH eats faster than I do. He then WATCHES me eat.

‘How’s your lamb?’

‘What’s the fish like?’

‘How’s your lasagne?’

I’m not saying it’s a LTB thread but AIBU to find this so fucking annoying? I’m generally eating it so it must be pretty nice, surely?

My dsis hated eating with her exh family.
She said they all made orgasmic noises whilst savouring their food!

@Couchbettato how can you bear this passive aggressive tv-pausing?!

Rethink your life choices please Grin

StillCoughingandLaughing · 04/10/2020 21:43

I can’t say this would bother me. It’s certainly not up there with those people who HAVE to know what you’re ordering in a restaurant before they can order. That’s grounds for murder.

@Limona I think you might be my soul mate! I appreciate it’s such a small thing but it really bugs me when people ask how my food is, especially when they’re eating the same thing.

Please just assume that if there’s something wrong with it, I will use my voice and say it.

Don’t even get me started on the orgasmic eating noises ...

My DH stares at my food in a restaurant when he has finished his and it’s arggggh 😂

keeprocking · 05/10/2020 13:50

That wouldn't have bothered me but whenever we ate out my late OH always experienced 'choice envy', he always liked the looks of my own meal more than his and that made me feel annoyed but I now miss it.
