Name changed for this, in case people think I’m nutty.
I ended up watching a few Uk column reports on YouTube after people had posted bits on YouTube, mainly just out of curiosity.
Has anyone seen this? Thoughts?
It’s made me totally anxious with what’s going on in the world, talks of military dining into the country and Ireland..why?
I already feel anxious about the strangeness in the world at the moment and really shouldn’t have watched it!
Are they all talking nonsense or is there something in it?

I think you know full well what you are doing. You are using this post to lure people to that fake site.

Whatsgoingon77 · 30/09/2020 18:47

@cochineal7 Thank you for the understanding 👍
I’m not trying to lure anyone to it, for what reason?!
I’m going to leave this now I think as I don’t need to feel crapper than I do at present.

Are they all talking nonsense or is it real? ..please reassure me

Ok Op I'm not sure why you're getting so wound up by this thread. I hope the fact that everyone here has told you Yes it's nonsense has given you the reassurance you needed?

It's completely understandable for people to assume you have an agenda because you are naming and repeatedly referencing a fake news/ conspiracy theory website and are therefore advertising it.
I assume you have done that through naivety.

Hope you feel better soon

Whatsgoingon77 · 30/09/2020 21:24

@SmileyClare I didn’t realise I’d repeatedly named it and there was no intention behind it at all, apologies.
My intention was to check that the majority think it’s bull and judging by this, many do, that is reassuring, thank you.

Can I just say that I made up all that shite about Uranus in a previous post. (Obviously!)

ChristmasCarcass · 01/10/2020 00:35

What was this "army footage" actually of?

I had my covid swab taken by a young army lad. He was very sweet, very polite (called me ma'am a lot), looked about 14, and tried desperately to keep a conversation going by talking about his car (obviously been told to win over hearts and minds and had no idea how to go about it). There was an army van on site, and the swab was done in an army medical tent. It was in a car park in an industrial estate in London, just booked via the NHS website as usual. I assume they needed extra manpower and the army provided some.

Perhaps this footage was of the army being "sent in" to do something like that? There was also a load of footage of the army building the Nightingale Hospitals back in April/May. The test in question was about two months ago, and no invasion has materialised....

I'm all in favour of getting a balanced view and not just relying on 'googling it'.

Why not watch a few complete broadcasts of theirs and decide for yourself? Most are about an hour long and cover a variety of topics.

I've watched their news programs and although I don't agree with all their views (everyone has their own opinions right?), the way they scrutinise government figures and what is being reported in the mainstream media can be very enlightening.

Here is what someone said on Quora and I'd tend to agree with this:

"Watched it for a few months, and to be honest have found it very well researched. The presenters do have their own opinions, and they can drift towards the conspiratorial, however I certainly wouldn’t write it off as a ‘conspiracy theorist’ site at all.

They provide their sources, the majority being official government documents, that can be found and verified online, as they are part of the public record, they just seem to be largely ignored by mainstream media.

Interestingly I have found quite a few times, I will first hear of a story on UK Column, to then later see it in the non-independant media, sometimes weeks later. Only difference is when it’s shown later it’s accepted as news, however when it is on UK Column it is considered untrue.

They also show how the same news is reported in different countries from a variety of sources, which I think gives a more well-rounded view of actual events.

For anyone thinking of just writing them off as crackpots, I would suggest maybe watching a couple first, verifying the information yourself, then make your own, informed, opinion."

And you trust Google to tell you the truth? Uk column are the only media outlet that provide concrete fact and evidence based information that you can fact check anywhere on the internet.

reddev · 10/02/2021 00:09

Totally agree with you .

burtonbma · 15/02/2021 17:23

I would trust the news on the uk column more than any news channel on the internet, they are unbiased and the information they give is much more accurate and truthful than the bbc and basically any other mainstream media. When every apparently independent news station says the same story and same script and censors basically any other opinion that challenges it that's a sign of fascism at play. I'm no conspiracy theorist but a child could see that something is not right as we get dragged further and further towards a fascist country. watch it unfold before your very eyes as the year commences! stay safe!

Bingiswhiney · 16/02/2021 21:59

@burtonbma What do you mean? Can you elaborate?

Nearlythere1 · 16/02/2021 22:23

UK Column is absolutely credible. They do the job that our news should be doing. And anybody that trusts media bias factcheck or any of those sites need to check their disclaimers - they're politically motivated and admit straight up that their "fact checks" are just their own opinion.

litllemum · 23/03/2021 09:28

Reading the comments on here was fascinating. I started following UK Column in summer 2020. A lot of people assume their 'theories' are just conspiracies or things they've made up for financial gain but if you actually do your research into their stories, you'll find out that they're bang on the mark. I always say 'trust nobody' and that really applies here. One of the things I like about the UK Column is they pretty much always give you the source so you can go and check things out for yourself and do some more background research. I always do and unfortunately, things aren't looking great at the moment with regards to the events around the world. It's so disappointing that people will just believe everything in the mainstream media (BBC, SKY etc.) without question. Do your own research where you can and believe nothing until you have facts and evidence - that applies particuarly to what you see on TV and whats reported by the BBC.

litllemum · 23/03/2021 09:42

I totally agree! I used to be an avid BBC watcher until April/May 2020. I haven't looked back since.

bestusername · 23/03/2021 12:26

@litllemum exactly. It scary how people rely on bbc and sky and in some cases misleading headlines (bbc).

I don’t know why people try to discredit UK Column. It’s factual with sources. All links are provided in their page on YouTube. More people should check it out before labelling it conspiracy stuff. Just catch one episode.

Last week there was a segment on Mareks Disease which was interesting.

Do some research instead of relying on news being fed to you.

MoodyMondeo · 04/05/2021 11:51

I checked out UK column late last year based on the negative comments here to see whether I thought they were credible or not as I couldn't believe the comments I was seeing telling the OP to believe everything msm tell us so thought something was wrong as my experience of msm was the opposite.

I have since scrapped the BBC and don't watch any more mainstream media as they were making me feel worse and scaring my friends and family with so much negativity. I think the anxiety described by the OP is a clear result of the way msm operate.

UKC are a breath of fresh air imo, will be sticking with them and researching as much as possible from now on.

It's based in Plymouth. Having the correct number of toes is considered posh there Grin(grew up there)

WHITT70 · 24/11/2021 10:13

It's all about researching for yourself. Flip it 360 degrees....do you believe what the corporate media channels and the governments say 100% ?
They only feed us their agenda through the mainstream media so we do not get the full picture of what is going on.
It's good to get other points of view from outlets that are not funded by billionaires. Have an open mind and research....don't take it as the truth if the government and corporate media organisations say it is !
