@TheSkyFalleth

What is wrong with you people? Shall we all be robots, speak exactly the same and lose our free will. For goodness sakes, get a life!
Well quite.

cheeky vino = VOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

uber- is the new super- - not quite as bad?

imfatletsparty · 30/09/2020 20:28

Thanks to this thread I've discovered that I also fucking hate "vom"!

Mcchips2020 · 30/09/2020 20:32

I used to cringe at this until I had a toddler and started using the word again, although I actively try not to use it with other adults!

YADNBU

Relatives used to say they would, “hoover” up this, “yummy” food. Unbearable.

ViciousJackdaw · 30/09/2020 23:20

@TrickyD

Nothing wrong with:

“Yummy Yummy Yummy
I’ve got love in my tummy
And I feel like I’m loving you... “

Great song.

Makes me think of blow jobs.

I saw a post on FB this morning, referring to a 'yummy dippy egg. Lush!' I did not luffs it.

BojoKilledMyMojo · 30/09/2020 23:32

Yummy is a rancid word. But it isn't as bad as nom nom, as that is literally the sound of somebody eating like a pig. Always makes me think of Homer Simpson.

VillageGreenTree · 30/09/2020 23:41

I cringe if I hear an adult say, "I'm going for a tinkle".

Alongcameacat · 01/10/2020 09:19

This is going to be a controversial one.

When I hear an adult using the phrase ‘I love you lots like jelly tots’ - I roll my eyes!

The other isn’t as bad but it sounds really odd when saying to an older child/teen is It love you to the moon and back’. Yes it is sweet, yes the baby book is sweet but this phrase has been used and marketed so much that the sentiment has been lost.

anuffername · 01/10/2020 10:30

Boobs - when used by adults.

and it's definitely not a fucking verb
