I'm kind of inured to yummy now because its so ubiquitous. Tummy doesn't really bother me.

The following are reasonable cause for people to be put up against a wall though:

famalam

Got no problem with slang and appropriating language. I'd just prefer people not to talk as if they'd swallowed a copy of Jackie, circa 1976.

but poorly is the worst. Absolutely hate it, makes me turn inside out. Just sounds so pathetic and poor-little-me*

Poorly is the a word we don’t use or hear much so I think poorly is a regional thing. I’m not sure what region though. But regional is part of someone’s identity so poorly can be forgiven.

Nom nom though? WTF!!! It isn’t even a word, It’s a sound!

I hate the word yummy, baby language being used by adults is usually annoying.

Tummy is ok though. I struggle to find a middle ground between tummy and words which are very clinical.

Shoot me but I actually quite like "babe".

I suppose its something to do with the fact the alternatives are all so achingly middle aged:
"darling" is like something from a 1940s movie
"dear" is something to say to someone you haven't had sex with for 20 years
"love" is something builders say to a passingly attractive woman
"hun" makes me nauseous. Worse still, "hunny".

I can just about tolerate "sweetheart"

don't mind fab. I loathe the modern appropriation of "super" in an oh so retro way, from millennials.

YANBU I hate it too, left many dieting groups because of it, can't bear the childishness of it and it makes people look a bit thick. Think it's a term used by many 'huns'.

I have no idea why but it really winds me up. Obviously not the concept, the phrase

Totally agree. Along with all the "MummyNeedsWine/MummyNeedsGin" memes. Somehow managing to both be twee and encourage alcoholism at the same time.

oh yes CHEEKY anything makes me want to 🤮 as well as Prosecco and pink gin. Poorly is another one someone else mentioned. Not really used where i used to live but widely used where i am now. Everyone just seems to be constantly POORLY round here🙄 Yum yum
