To have asked for another room?

I'm travelling on my own and staying in a Premier Inn. I've stayed with them loads and they're usually fantastic.

Today though I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable. I checked in and went to my room. It's super dark because there's film on the windows because there's scaffolding right outside of the window. If I have the window open, they can see in, including the bathroom.

I'm not usually picky and have stayed in some real dives but I'm so uncomfortable with a bunch of strange men being literally two feet away.

I have some abuse in my past and I'm not sure if I'm being unreasonable because of it.

I'm in a new room which has light and no builders. Don't think they were very happy about it but I feel so much better.

I wouldn't be happy about the frosted sticker being called privacy film either!
