I was given it by a friend but she challenged me to find out what it is. It’s a kitchen utensil, I have no idea and I need help!!

@NC4Now

Wow, there’s a kitchen gadget my mum doesn’t own! She has a cherry stoner, meat thermometer and melon baller. Christmas 2020 sorted ✔️
🤣🤣 I want to meet your mum to compare ‘gadgets’ 🤣🤣
Trumpton · 27/09/2020 22:05

I bought my adult dd one last year .
Every Easter she saves eggshells and pops a mini chocolate egg in and some rice paper confetti then seals the egg shell with tissue paper.
The children have fun throwing the egg bombs .
So now you know .

@DeRigueurMortis
An iron for caramelising cremes brulee?

A crepe batter-smoothing-type thing?

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 27/09/2020 22:19

Well there's a gadget I never knew existed! And a stocking filler for the dcs sorted Grin

DeRigueurMortis · 27/09/2020 22:20

Dame Celia has it!

It's what cooks/chefs used for caramelising the sugar on a creme brûlée before we had kitchen blow torches (and thank god we do now!).

They are bloody difficult to use and get the sugar caramelised evenly (and not burnt) - plus quite dangerous as they need to be red hot.

lidoshuffle · 27/09/2020 22:36

What about a duck carcass press if you've a spare 3 grand, OP?

FlibbertyGiblets · 27/09/2020 23:21

Yum lido (blerk really).

I think an Egg Skelter, for a return gift?

Louyoga · 28/09/2020 18:22

It look s like s cherry/olive stoner to me - olive or cherry goes into the cup bit then the two parts are squeezed together and the sone pops out!

Foggyday124 · 28/09/2020 19:16

The toilet roll helping machine is funny and the boogie man disgusting. I’m not sure I’ll have much use for a duck carcass press, can I use it for the Sunday roast chicken instead??

There's a movie that might give some ideas for it.

It was called Too Many Chefs

SHONNYSMUMMY · 28/09/2020 20:03

@Foggyday124 it's a space heater you use it for eggs..

Ontheboardwalk · 28/09/2020 20:30

The calm before the storm, 2 fighters the night before the big fight.

The battle of the egg crackers starts at breakfast (and yes I really do need to get out of the house more)

I think it's a melon baller

Trumpton · 28/09/2020 20:59

@Ontheboardwalk
I bought both of those last year to put into dds’ boxes ! They were ages working out what they were !

Ontheboardwalk · 28/09/2020 21:07

Trumpton I’m confused by them and I ordered them myself!

I'd have no idea if I was given them as a pressie. Think I might give some at Christmas to confuse people

portobella · 29/09/2020 13:34

It's an egg separater

dysongirl · 02/10/2020 01:20

Is it a measuring spoon??Hmm

Palavah · 02/10/2020 01:32

This reminds me of Bridget Jones' mother demonstrating the 'Have it Oeuf'
