If Aibu has been around what would have been posted? Would we really see the “blitz spirit” or more “ndn seems to have more rations than me - Aibu to report them”.

My DC are being evacuated to Norfolk. I have heard that the folk there are a bit backward and primitive, most don't even have telephones, for heaven's sake! AIBU to request that they are billeted with an upper middle class family who can give them the creature comforts they're used to?

Is now a good time to get a puppy? I mean obviously he’ll just wander the streets during the day, as dogs do - but I’m worried that the sirens may scare him at night.

Mn please settle the debate! My friend came over for tea with me and DD7. My friend was appalled at what DD had on her toast.
She said it should be jam OR margarine not both and that it was spoilt children like DD keeping rationing dragging on.

AIBU to complain to my MP about the light pollution from the searchlights? I know they need to see the incoming German bombers but won't someone think of the wildlife ? Personally I don't care if we are all bombed and die a horrible death, humans don't deserve this beautiful planet anyway.

Aibu to think that leaving a 13 year old in charge of a 2 year old and a baby whilst I have supper with my sister is fine. She is very responsible and knows how to get the children into the shelter...

Yes the bomb did fall on the house, but didn’t explode and the children were safely in the shelter. How my great grandma ended up on the top floor with the stairs caved in, is still the family mystery

AIBU to think we should close the public air raid shelters immediately? My NDN was assaulted by a stranger last night, it could have been serious, but it would never have happened if we weren't being made to use these shelters when the bombs are dropping

My soon to be mil has got hold of some old parachute silk for my wedding dress. AIBU to think she’s trying to tell me she doesn’t approve of me? Her own daughter married before the war, but no expense was spared on her dress.

AIBU to report my neighbour? She keeps chickens and I knew she would swap some eggs for supplies instead of handing them over to the authorities, it always rankled with me but I kept quiet for the sake of neighbourly relations and I didn't really see the harm in her having a little bit extra sugar and butter.

Yesterday I saw she had a made a 6 tier birthday cake for her DD, what was worse was the baby was crawling round in the garden naked before it smashed the cake and smeared it all over its chubby little face and body while some halfwit chased it around with a box brownie taking photos!

I can believe the selfish woman hoarded all of those ingredients while the rest of us starve. It's people like her who are making it harder for the rest of us.
