To ask how much the annual fees are for private schools in the UK?

I attended a comp in NW England, so have no point of reference. I’ve lived in the US for nearly twenty years, and private schools in NYC and its surrounding suburbs average upwards of $50k per pupil per year.

I read thread after thread on MN about people making sacrifices in order to give their children a private education, so I guess I’m just curious: Eton and its ilk aside, are private schools just priced more affordably in the UK?

Boarding - a significant around the £40 mark
In the 'yummy mummy' areas you're looking at up to £30k for day alone

@PaxMalmKallax, that true, I do think NYC wages are higher than in London.

Just under £10k a year for north west prep

South East area. Prep was around £12K. Secondary £24K basic as a day pupil. Boarder would be another £10K. Our school is not the most expensive in the area!
