I'm sure he speaks very highly of me! Grin I really enjoy his recipes but the more I see of him and Jools on tv I don't know he creeps me out a bit..can't put my finger on it. Anyone else?

As for JO, always too much lemon

He ruined school dinners for me so I dislike him for that
Didn't he used to cook naked on tv?? shudder

Delia was boring as fuck and I always feel like she's not actually that interested in food or eating. JO made cooking something that was fun, sociable, a laugh, and at the same time something it's OK to be excited and passionate about. It's easy now to take the piss out of the early scooter-riding, Clerkenwell-loft-filmed stuff, but it really did change the image of food and cooking

This.

I have no idea about his as a person but I although I like the way he thinks about food I find him to erratic (not sure of a beeeter/polite way of putting it) with presenting to be able to watch him

I loved the few episodes I say of his stay at home covid cooking show on channel 4 (whatever it is called) but his presenting style got too much so we stopped watching it

I loved where he was heading with his ideas though

A good friend worked on the most recent series and said he was surprisingly really nice. Took time to chat to my friend and then next time they spoke he remembered details about my friend and his family.

A lot of his stuff feels very staged but his recipes are good, we do use them a lot.

Never liked his Italian restaurants. Not mad keen on his presenting style but do buy the books - the food is very accessible.

I use 30 minute meals loads, some of my favourite recipes came out of it. JO himself? I think he’s been successful and people quite often don’t like that. 15 was a great idea, as was the school dinner overhaul.
