Mine involves a permanently clean house, probably a cottage- I have a squashy armchair, coffee pot always on the go and a good book- I have a huge bed with loads of cushions and duvets and quilts. There's quiet, and whatever I want to eat (or not if I just want cereal)
I'd miss DP terribly- I really do love him but I like my little fantasy

@Dishwashersaurous

I’m prime minister. Running the country really effectively without having to worry about homeschool or laundry.
I assume you’re an ultra Type A?! Grin that sounds like my worst nightmare and has now spoilt my lovely daydreaming session reading the other posts on this thread haha.

I didn’t realise so many other people had single life fantasies. Mine are very detailed to the point that sometimes I almost start to believe it’s my real life and get very disappointed when I snap back to reality. Though I’m very blessed to have my family - maybe the grass is greener and I’d be daydreaming about family life if I was still child free? Though have to say while I was single I never daydreamed about kids or being married. It was always about solitary travels/ relocations and lots of no strings affairs- and still is.

Large penthouse flat in London with fabulous social life consisting of various types of classes, cafes and cultural visits.

I live in Maida Vale in a beautiful flat with a roof terrace. I work at the British Museum 3 days a week. My children have left home. My husband lives up north. They do all visit from.time to time. Money is not an issue.

crochetmonkey74 · 23/09/2020 18:30

In mine , I'm always at gallery events and cultural things until late and I am never too tired for the next day either. I sort of float about central London even though my cottage is in the countryside

In my day dreams I am the CEO of a flash company who can afford nice fitted clothes and shoes. I am nice to everyone and often been 'head hunted. '
I Have a second home in Devon with steps down to the sea and a nice sturdy car to get me about.
Carry on dreaming eh?

@MrsReacher85

In mine, I live in a fabulous central apartment in a city, New York is my favourite. I’m magically ten years and ten pounds lighter, as well as 4inches taller. Then everything else that has already been said!
I would hate to be without my rowdy lot but we definitely have the same dream!
NancyBotwinBloom · 23/09/2020 18:42

I live by the sea with my dog.

I'm skinny and look fab and have somehow come in to money.

I don't work, just paint and sell them for ridiculous amounts of money as I'm anonymous.

I have no DP just a male friend and occasionally a female friend with benefits and I just live quietly and grow marijuana for myself in my underground cellar.

@NameChange84

Lol I’m the opposite...36 single and childless and very lonely and depressed about it.

I have daydreams about waking up next to a gorgeous, loving man, stolen kisses in the kitchen, about bedtimes and bath times with toddlers with chubby hands and knees and smiley faces sticky with jam, jumping in puddles, feeding the ducks, first days at school, Sunday morning family cuddles in the big bed, a little crumpled face shouting mummy and running to me for cuddles to make it all better with they fall over, magical Christmasses, holidays to Disney with hunky hubby with AMAZING arms teaching our babies to swim in the resort pool etc etc

Yep, I know it’s totally rose tinted glasses but...whatever gets you through the day right?

It's never too late ... get out there and find him 😍🤗

I have a simple and tidy house. There is no clutter. It is peaceful

Whenever I am in need of an escape I think of it- wandering about in a city by myself, it's a pretty city like Edinburgh or York- I meander home- the fire is lit, the lamps are on (magically as I live by myself) I have a delicious cake under a glass dome in the kitchen ready for me to help myself to a nice slice. I sort of cosily float about in vintage silk dressing gowns or cashmere loungewear or a stylish mix of both. I write letters or catch up my day in my big leather diary curled up in my armchair. Also deep baths, nice candles and just all the time and quiet in the world! I know in reality, I would also have a job - argghh I miss my single life !
Ahhhhhhh You just described the life I had it was bliss ! Lols Now I'm married 5 kids later and I'm tearing my hair out with stress 😂😂😂😂 We always want what we can't have .. then we get it lols 😂
Dishwashersaurous · 24/09/2020 08:40

Sorry nestisflown for stopping the daydream.

I’m not a type A at all in really life- hence my daydream!

Di11y · 24/09/2020 08:54

I dream about not having kids sometimes and s DH without the mental health problems. Lazy lie-ins to a paper and breakfast in bed, city breaks and money to spend on theatre and art. We can dream!

NoraLuka · 24/09/2020 08:57

I live on a little island in Brittany, in a nice, clean house with big windows that look out onto the sea. There is a little pine wood on the island, and I’ve gotten over my fear of getting mugged etc. so I can go for nice walks. Sometimes I sit outside and read, and I have lots of time for gardening. I am a writer and paint in my spare time. I have a little boat to go over to the mainland, there is a little pub there where I know everyone and I can stay and chat with them as much as I like. I can somehow get hold of UK foods such as Mr Kipling cakes and Hovis. Despite this, I am not fat.

I think of this fantasy life when the DC are in full on Kevin the teenager mode, but I know I’d miss them really Grin

I am single by choice as I prefer the lifestyle, I do have a child though!

When DS is grown up and moved out I plan to win millions on the lottery and quit work. I will buy 3 apartments with amazing views and split my time between them - one in central London, one in New York and one in Tokyo. I'll invest in property and spend my days writing and travelling. Trying lovely new restaurants, going out for cocktails and living life at my own pace, not the pace of DS and my employer.

Ah, if only.
