to think it's normal to find medical professionals attractive?

I have a couple of chronic health issues and see a a variety of doctors and nurses at hospital as well as visit my local practice for bloods etc.

Both my consultants are male, older than me and lovely. One is Indian the other is Scottish. They are both married as am I but when Isee them it is always very pleasant and I come away thinking how attractive they are. At my local practice I am often seen by a variety of young doctors male and female and they are all lovely and the young male doctors always seem very attractive to me.

I think it is the gentleness and care that is so nice and that it's only natural to find that appealing and as a straight woman I find the men attractive. I am not developing massive crushes on any of them or having fantasies about them but I do think they are lovely.

I think this is pretty normal and that people often find doctors and nurses of both genders attractive, am I being unreasonable?

Every occupational therapist I’ve ever met was super hot. Honest.

I did once get stuck to a young hospital doctor at a dinner and he complained all night about how their was no money in it and that he should have been a dentist!

I still remember the name of the completely dishy anaesthesiologist that managed to get my (blissful relief) spinal in just before the EMCS with DS1 when everyone else had had a go and failed. I asked after him (by name!!) wistfully the next day and described him as a kind of Keanu Reaves dream hunk. DH said I must have had more gas and air than he thought because he in fact looked more like Mr Miyagi.

When my dad was in A&E a few years ago after a bad fall, the doctor who treated him was extremely good looking and very nice too. He was also military. Both me and SIL were smitten. Grin

When I was in hospital after having ds a small team of students were shuffling around taking turns to prod babies and stare at us new mums. One student was absolutely stunning, I mean literally leading man/model material. He was also so gentle and caring and even told off one of his fellow students that had burst into my room and (mistakenly) told me that ds needed a lumbar puncture.

I was coming to the end of a horribly abusive relationship so was feeling depressed, emotional and unloved. Thank god the feeling wasn't mutual as I might have been persuaded to pitch ds out the window and run off with the hunky medical student Blush

22 years working in A&E and I can only remember one sexy doctor, and he was gay so completely out of my league! I wouldn't say it was a hive of gorgeousness Grin

The guy who usually does Dd's echos is smoking hot. I do find medical professionals more attractive than those in other professions.

A nurse who treated my son a couple of years ago was incredibly attractive.

Vets, now they’re in a different league. My cats vet is gorgeous, I have very occasionally looked at his instagram.

Along with the general caring/intelligent thing being attractive, there is the concept of transference.

Transference is the natural inclination to transfer our love/ imaginings/ longings that we have for our parents (first loves) onto other figures of authority - particularly when they have a position of caring for us/ knowing more - similar to those our parents have. It's why so many people fall in love with their therapists (or think they do). And also one of the reasons why it is forbidden for doctors or therapists to have relationships with their patients...... as the power dynamic makes the patient very vulnerable/ susceptible... Smile

But yes may also be that there are some plain gorgeous ones out there! 🤩
