I vividly recall looking it up for DD and seeing some official paw patrol nonsense saying she is a cockerpoo. I don't think she looks like one though.

I agree with the sexism it annoyed me out of 6 dogs they could’ve made at least one more female and not all pink and cutesy ,
There’s nothing wrong with a pink and cutesy character but they very easily could’ve made one of the other dogs a girl and kept their same look, personality, talents etc,

What really hacked me off though was whatever episode or season where they all got planes , like yeah ok take away the thing that makes Skye special

My own theory is Rider is just a kid which one dog , Chase and the rest are teddies and he’s playing in his back garden pretending he saves the day.
“Adventure Bay” is like something an 8 year old would name it and of course he just imagines himself to be a bit older and cooler so he can do all this stuff without having to tell his parents where he’s going.

I've only seen a few episodes with my nephew and it just came across as shrill, chaotic nonsense. It's also unnecessarily complicated - why not just use animals with opposable thumbs, then the gadgets wouldn't need to be so complicated. Though I daresay Bonobo Patrol would be a very different programme.

When he was little my nephew thought it was called Paul Patrol and that was Ryder's real name, which was very sweet.

Ben and Holly all the way here. My son went through a phase of calling me Nanny Plum for about a year and I loved it.

Also Chase (the police dog) is Skyes boyfriend so that’s why he is more interested in her safety. (It was my 5 year old who told me about chase/Skye and I ended up googling it and apparently it’s true).

YANBU Paw Patrol is the absolute worst. I lasted years successfully concealing its existence from my children only for DP to put it on one afternoon for them while I was out. Now they love it and we have to play Merpups every time we go swimming

I swear my son is actually addicted. Managed to put The Skinky and Dirty Show on this afternoon (Prime original) to try and break the PP addiction

I did the exact same with Alvin And The Fuckiing Chipmunks (even typing that out made me clench my teeth - the stupid.squeeky.singing!!) and 6 years of work was ruined by DD4s (much) older sister who seems to take great delight in introducing DD4 to all the Most Annoying Things For Kids You Can Think Of while i'm out of earshot!

Now DD4 asks for AATFC all the bloody time! Grrrrrrrrrrr
