To just binge-watch Greys Anatomy on repeat?

Obvs not BU Grin

I’m not really a film/tv fan, truth be told. I have quite specific things that I like, and they tend to be easy watching fluff if I’m honest. I don’t really like to watch stuff I have to engage with too closely. I have a heavy job and two kids and I’m always knackered and stressed. I just prefer to zone out with some mindless shit to be honest.

Greys is my default. It’s comforting and distracts me from stress etc. I dunno. I watch it most nights just now (going through a bit of a hard time) and it’s driving DH mental 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also like This Is Us and watch that sometimes but not to the same extent.

Is this really unusual? Does anyone else do this?

I’ve just picked greys up again I’m on maternity leave and am now on series 8. Love it, easy comfortable viewing

I am very late to the party. I watched Sation 19 which led me to Greys. I've binged to season10 so far. Can't believe I never saw it before now.

ER and the West Wing are my all time favourites and I can't imagine getting tired of them. I

I'm exactly the same with Grey's! My husband has now decided if you can't beat them, join them and we're now currently starting season 11. It's only on re-watching though that I've realised I love all the characters except Meredith and Derek. Meredith in particular just strikes me as a really unpleasant person. Alex, Owen, Bailey and Cristina are legends. I want to be their friends!

I LOVE Greys. It's my comfort series! I'm on a rewatch now!

Not sure what it says about me but I default to shows I’ve seen all the time. Blush

Greys is my favourite though, I have to admit I rewatch it and get to near the end of season 8 and skip a couple of episodes and carry on. I can’t watch those episodes again haha!

I’ve lost count of the number of times I have watched the Agatha Christie adaptations. All of them. Even a Russian adaptation of “And then there were none”.

Gosh it's been ages since I watched Greys - I used to rewatch it often but lost the feeling for it - I might try again now, though. My current comfort watches are Poirot with David Suchet ("Curtains") is amazing, Marple with either Geraldine McEwen or Julia McKenzie (two of the best Marple I think) or the Midsomer Murders series with both Tom Barnaby and John Barnaby. Plus also Lewis with Ken Whatley.

My most favourite comfort watch, however, is "The Repair Shop" on BBC iPlayer. An absolute treat if you've never seen it. 🌹

I started Grey's in about June and am currently approaching series 16. I think I worked out it equates to about a series a week which is shocking!!! I am absolutely hooked and am going to be bereft when I've finished them in a week or so 😂

Happynow001 · 13/09/2020 04:24

Drat! Not "Ken Whatley." But KEVIN Whatley. 🌹

YANBU - I have binge watched greys on repeat since oohhhh 2008?

I watch all episodes, catch up to the very latest that are on ABC and then start from the beginning again. I've seriously rewatched them at least 5-6 times.

Easy watching, it's like when I used to watch Friends on repeat.

I'd planned on loads of box sets through my 16 week mat leave. Not a chance, greys anatomy all the way 😁

Have you watched Private Practice OP? It's the Addison spin off and I enjoyed that too (I have watched all the series of greats 3 or 4 times now)

I love rewatching my comfort shows, Criminal Minds, Rizzoli and Isles and Bones all got a rewatch during lock down too!!!!
