To be annoyed that we already have a sickness bug from school

Only been back at school 5 minutes, after 5 months of education disruption, and eldest child has spent most of today vomiting. He hasn’t been anywhere else all week, so it must have come from school which means that someone has probably sent a child in after sickness (I checked with child that nobody was sent home sick this week).

So now I’m feeling dizzy and sprawled on the sofa, and I’ve got DC1 here with me on Monday now missing a day of school. I mean obviously kids get sick but seriously? Already?

We are in South London and the levels are low but they are rising everywhere apparently, and we can't get a test. I've been trying since yesterday evening.

Toddler has been at nursery for a grand total of 3.5 hours and has a streaming nose😡

Yeah, colds straight in off the bat here.

Little one picked up a cold, got it mildly, then passed it to the big one who had badly and to have a day off school. She’s asthmatic and gets everything badly.

Nothing can be done though I guess. Except people please keeping their sick kids off - D and V, COVID symptoms etc in particular.

My DC have both been off with sickness in the past week. Funnily enough though my first instinct wasn't to blame other parents

Just one (of many) examples. Child sent home last week vomiting. Had been sick before school, but sent in anyway. Told to wait 48 hours between last episode. Didn't. Threw up on way to school on public transport, and then called in to say they would be in the next day!!!

Not a one off situation. Some people just don't give a shit.
