To not find out the gender of our baby after finding out with my first two

Hi all. I am 16wks pregnant with my 3rd baby (DH's 1st). I had my first 2 DC in my early 20s and both situations were very stressful. I did find out the gender with both of them, I think for me it was something to look forward to, and I felt I could be more organised where I was on a tight budget. I always promised myself if I had another child, I would do things completely differently. I am now married to a lovely guy and my older 2 can't wait to meet their sibling! This time I am thinking of keeping the gender a suprise. Has anyone done this and preferred it to knowing the gender? :) I am extremely impatient so it's going to be hard for me not to know! :) DH is happy either way, he said I can decide.

I was not a huge fan of boys and hoped for girls. I'd never been around boys other than at school where you get a different picture of them than nephews or even little brothers. I was very afraid of being a little disappointed at the birth of it was a boy so for my first two I found out at the scans. Both girls.

Years later I was pregnant again and actually thought I'd like a boy so we decided to have a surprise. We got our boy and we're thrilled. It was actually quite nice having a surprise.

Because gender neutral clearly means beige HmmHmm. I must have missed that as DD was dressed all colours of the rainbow from day 1.

We didnt find out. DD was sadly going to be an only child and we couldn't care less if she was boy or girl. Of course DH covered both by announcing it was a boy when DD was born- the umbilical cord confused him Grin
