To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

@sabinaapplecross
Right colour but the smaller size but it’s much appreciated anyway!

@Raindropsonrosesand
Thank you! I’ll drop them a message

@Ohwhatbliss
It looks like if it is a Jellycat it’s the wrong shade but thank you so much!

Sorry missed the screenshot! That’s the right colour but the wrong size Smile

Have you asked White company? I l know these were sold in UK in John Lewis but they were sold in Dubai by the White Company, I have a very clear memory of the large one being on display in their shop. At the time my husband bought the whole set in small for DD.
Unfortunately the large size isnt as common so there would be far fewer available alongside the fact that it wasn't retired that long ago so some children will still be playing and cuddling with them.

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 16:24

@Watermama
I’ve contacted them but not heard back yet! Thank you for your comment though Smile

That’s very true that they might still be being loved and I wouldn’t ask for a much loved bunny anyway! I think I’ll keep looking but will direct my search back towards eBay/charity shops and car boot sales in the future.

Funnily enough someone mentioned the large elephant at a carboot - someone posted on Facebook that they picked one up at the car boot for £2 yesterday. I wonder if it was the same one?

I live in Stockholm and I checked Facebook marketplace here and a local version of eBay (only in Sweden). No sign of your bunny :( Keep us updated if you find one, I will keep an eye out!

seadog1977 · 14/09/2020 16:53

Hi, have you tried Facebook market place ? Lots of private sellers on there

magicalhello · 14/09/2020 17:05

It says small in the listings title!

magicalhello · 14/09/2020 17:20

@FelicityPike I did see that afterwards 🙈 got too excited that I'd found one !

LadyEloise · 14/09/2020 17:20

I went to the two pharmacies near to me. They have the medium size in the colour you want but not the large size, sadly.

I hope you get it elsewhere.

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 17:35

@ImNotBusyImLazy
Thank you so much! Smile

@LadyEloise
Thank you so much I really appreciate it! Ireland might be the answer as I haven’t seen any medium bluebells brand new for a long time near me. Their medium was £50 used without tags bought through eBay (I know as I bought it for them).

I also have one of my own as I liked the colour but mine was £40 all in which seems to be about the going rate. New ones are £60+ now.

Can I just add before someone says something: I haven’t spent that much on all their bunnies and even if I ‘buy’ it my parents/other family often actually pay for it as a gift for them including birthdays or Christmas or just for doing well at school. Just before I get the “crazy money for a soft toy” comment from someone.

I’ve also purchased some rare bunnies I’ve seen going cheap an attempt to encourage some collectors to potentially trade but no luck yet.

Couldn’t you give your relative your one then?

Rinsefirst · 14/09/2020 18:14

I bought a giant jelly cat Squidgy Pig from 1999 on eBay USA last year. I think it cost me £90. I then got hit with another £20 customs charge even though it was not new. And sadly it wasn’t quite the version I was expecting. Good luck. It may take a few months but I’m sure you will be lucky

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 18:19

@FelicityPike
They have a medium, it’s the large their looking for

@Rinsefirst
Ahh I’m so sorry it wasn’t what you were looking for in the end Sad that’s disappointing! I think I’ve exhausted most other options waiting might be the only one left

I am too invested in this thread! This pic is from my local Jellycat stockist I visited today in search of your large bluebell bunny. One MASSIVE Jellycat bunny, a large (wrong colour) and some bluebell coloured elephants, so frustrating!! I am now considering buying some as an investment and making a killing on selling on my collection in years to come!

To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?
rockingaroundthemulberrybush · 14/09/2020 18:45

*a few large

PS the 50% off doesn't apply to the jellycats!

Marmite27 · 14/09/2020 19:43

We have that elephant! He’s so squishy and cuddly, but the kids don’t care for him at all. Sad

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 19:52

@rockingaroundthemulberrybush
Thank you so much for looking!

@Marmite27
Was it you with the stripy eared bunny? I’ve found somewhere with one of those but they don’t post but you might know someone local - Just if you wanted a spare/replacement. It’s nowhere near me so I can’t help unfortunately Sad

Shall i go and take a photo of the jellycat for you in the pharmacy that has the medium sized one to ensure the colour is correct and to get the price.
I'd email Jellycat and ask for their Irish stockists if I were you.

Legoandloldolls · 14/09/2020 21:32

Sorry, I didnt have any luck either 😭

The four stockists near me only have the current range in

I went to a Bear shop today and they said they discontinue the bunnies in name as blossom bashful is still around but not called bashful any more.

I'm convinced they look similar but now have a mid a seem and a smile? Hard to tell but this isnt the same as dd bashful. Still, I have a spare. Sorry I couldn't help. They had other colours but not yours, and defo not in large 😢

Thank you for thinking of me, it’s a friends little one that has Blake Bunny.

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 22:28

@Legoandloldolls
Thank you anyway! Seems like they change the designs quite often. I know some older bunnies have whiskers and now they don’t

@Marmite27
Odds farm park apparently have them if that’s anywhere near you and your friend would like a replacement.
