To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

Have a look for a UK Shop called one more bear. Not much online but their store is well stocked. Might be worth a call?

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 23:28

@Missmonkeypenny
Thank you so much for your comment, that bunny is a medium as it is a blossom (floral ears) and they didn’t make them in a large. Looking at the profile they also seem very fond of the bunny so I’d feel awful putting them in an awkward position of asking if they’d sell.

I have trouble saying no to people and if someone asked me to sell the bunny I sleep with for example I’d likely let them have it and then struggle to sleep myself for weeks/months! I’m a real people pleaser and I know many others are too.

@JukeBoxHero
Hiya, yep they’ve been mentioned a couple of times but they can’t help unfortunately. Thank you though!

This may have been suggested, or tried, before but here goes: have you tried contacting them to ask if they'd be willing to sell you one even though they've been discontinued?

I used to work for a company that made things by hand and if somebody requested a discontinued item, they would normally do it (unless the fabric was no longer available to them).

I know it might be a long shot, but worth a try? Blush

Lockheart · 13/09/2020 23:41

I'm sorry to see you've still had no luck.

I'm WFH tomorrow so I'll pop down to the charity shops and see if there might be anything going. It's a long shot but it's an area with a lot of posh people around (not me Grin) so sometimes you find really nice things have been donated!

LeonoraFlorence · 13/09/2020 23:41

My DD has a huge collection but no large Bluebell, sorry. Have you tried Asking Bonkers original gift shop in St Andrews (Scotland)?

BluebellJellycat · 13/09/2020 23:44

@SuckingDownDarjeeling
I’ve tried that but thank you anyway! :)

@Lockheart
Thank you! I tried today to see if there’d be anything as consolation but absolutely nothing!

@LeonoraFlorence
Don’t worry, they seem pretty rare! Thank you for the suggestion, I‘ll try them

LeonoraFlorence · 13/09/2020 23:52

I take it you have tried Fleurtations?

LeonoraFlorence · 13/09/2020 23:53

I’m sorry if you are, just in case!

Why is it so important?!

TildaTurnip · 14/09/2020 00:13

Large – BL3BLL

That’s the hang tag code (someone asked above).

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 00:24

@TildaTurnip
I’m not sure if they always do have the same hang tag code or not. I can’t figure it out

OP posts:
RainbowRaine · 14/09/2020 00:27

@Horehound
it's complex but it’s very much wanted as part of a hobby/special interest

TonytheDog · 14/09/2020 00:35

I've just read the whole thread, I was sooo hoping you'd have found one by the time I got to the end. My DD does have Jellycat's, not the one you're looking for, but I'll look in our nearby Jellycat shops. Good luck 🤞

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 00:48

@TonytheDog
Thank you so much! I’d really appreciate that Smile

There is a toy shop in Covent Garden that sells lots of jellycats, it’s called Pollocks. It’s the kind of shop that had stuff for years,
I’m sure you’ve already thought of this but have you tried Harrods & Hamleys?

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 01:18

@nancy75
Contacted both Harrods and Hamleys but not heard from either (yet?). Thanks for the suggestion of pollocks, I’ve dropped them an email

OP posts:
nancy75 · 14/09/2020 01:24

I would phone Harrods, they are usually good (and more likely to rummage round the stockroom for a real person on the phone rather than an email) central London is a ghost town at the moment so the staff will probably have a bit of time to have a good look

FirTree01 · 14/09/2020 01:42

OP, one of the USA Etsy store owners I messaged has just come back to me with this statement:

''I believe Jellycat is bringing Bluebell back but not until Easter. Because we placed our order for Easter already.''

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 01:51

@nancy75
I’ll definitely give it a go, thank you!

@FirTree01
That’s strange, I haven’t heard that anywhere else and Jellycat themselves said in an email to me they physically cannot get hold of any.
They’ve reused shade names before such as plum. There’s an old and new plum but they’re pretty different (photos attached) so something similar could be going on here but we’ll see!

At this rate I won’t have found one by easter anyway so I’ll just stay hopeful.

BluebellJellycat · 14/09/2020 01:53

The photos won’t attach for some reason but they’re were from bashfulbunnies.com
