Just binge watched ‘the stranger’ and loved ‘the fall’. What shall I watch next?

Wasn't a fan of unorthodox.
Caliphate was good.
The Fall is great.

Janaih · 11/09/2020 17:38

Ozark and money heist as pp have mentioned.
Stateless on Netflix. Gripping and based on true stories woven together.

SantaMonicaPier · 11/09/2020 17:49

unorthodox or fauda

51Pegasusb · 11/09/2020 18:04

Another vote for La Casa de Papel- we're on our 3rd watch through it's brilliant.
Ozark

The Bridge- although I'm not sure if it's on UK Netflix, it's a crime drama that is centered on the bridge between Denmark and Sweden.

Undercover- Dutch crime series- which even we need the subtitles on because the accent is very strong- not sure f this has reached the UK, but it is very good.

Oh and on prime is The Head, 8 episode drama about a murder in the Antarctic ( Alavro Morte aka El Professor is in this too )
If you want sweary violence and bad behaving super heroes then watch The Boys- it's diabolical Wink

I'm new to Netflix watching with interest. I enjoyed Homelands and Orphan black. I started watching the Fall I've crazy dreams and usually end up dreaming of the series the Fall would give me nightmares.

A bit of an out-there pitch as it starts off as a sitcom but morphs into a dramedy, but Bojack Horseman remains the best Netflix show to date.

You need to push through the first few episodes though. Season 1 gets about 65% on rotten tomatoes, then Seasons 2-6 are all 95%+.

therarebear · 11/09/2020 23:45

Stateless. Based on a true story of an Australian citizan who ended up in an Australian immigration detention centre, and the stories of the journeys of some desperate people fleeing to Australia, and the shitty lives they live in that limbo. Six parts, and my husband and I were hooked! Very eye opening and moving.

NarcissistsEyebrows · 18/09/2020 23:12

Hooked on Stateless after the above recommendation.

Also found and started Criminal Minds.

Any other good legal / detective ones which aren't too grizzly (looking at you Luther and The Fall).

Please no-one suggest Suits, it is awful. I was saying this before Harry met Meghan, not bashing her!

I don't watch much telly because I have a neurological condition that makes it a bit difficult. One thing I did manage to watch and enjoy was Dirty John, both the documentary and the drama and then the Betty Broderick drama that followed.

Tinyandpetite · 19/09/2020 02:07

I’ve been watching reign. I absolutely love it. Not historically correct- more like a soap opera about Mary queen of scots. I’m on the 3rd series.

ursuslemonade · 19/09/2020 03:26

Shtisel.

When heroes fly.

But I have a thing for Michael Aloni 😀.

Just watched Criminal UK S1 and 2 in one go and really liked it.

Unbelievable was great.

The Innocence files.

rosegoldivy · 19/09/2020 04:11

The fall.

To be clear. I would 100% leave my door unlocked for him to break in.

EternalBeloved · 19/09/2020 04:14

The Fall is amazing. As is 'You' which is based on a fantaatic book and keeps you sucked in. Im in love with the main character in You, which says everything about my abysmal taste in men.

userxx · 19/09/2020 04:20

@rosegoldivy 🤣🤣🤣

Oilyoilyoilgob · 19/09/2020 07:25

The fall 😋 Jamie was looking beautiful in it, but it gave me some very vivid dreams.

I need to watch ‘You‘

Cobra Kai for light entertainment, me and my husband have loved watching it! It’s easy watching.

The Jeffrey Epstein documentary was eye opening, the differences between the areas of Palm Beach and therefore how he could lure the girls with money was eye opening.

I’m currently re watching gossip girl.

Started on line of duty, really enjoying that.

Want to start on ‘the platform’ and ‘3%’

I’ve got loads of dramas on my watch list but I keep picking very light, cheesy entertainment and I love it 😳
