I’m fat and I don’t care
I drink too much and I don’t care
I just don’t care

Im a lazy cow and I don’t care

I’m not depressed any more than anybody else is in this shitshow of 2020

So; which book jolted you out of inertia and into self care?
Because I need a massive kick up the arse ... I used to have so much willpower and it’s gone! and I still ... don’t care

I’ve got amazon at the ready.
HELP me oh Vipers!!

This is great, thanks everyone

I didn’t over eat at all yesterday, had toast for breakfast and a healthy fish dinner. However i then demolished half a bottle of wine and smoked about 4 cigs...my self destructive streak runs deep. Also I had a joint Hmm (not my weed, don’t ask)

Yeah I know. I’m like a fucking toddler In terms of impulse control.

I’ve started the “feel the fear” book and am also reading “stop overeating”

Sorry, too early for capitalisation 😂

The Sweet Poison Quit Plan.
Not a diet really, but cutting out sugar has really helped with my appetite and urge to binge, I am much calmer around food and am losing weight without too much effort. I've tried every diet under the sun and this one genuinely feels achievable for the long term.

Sorry I'm late to this. The book that changed my life was The Easy Way to stop smoking by Allen Carr. After 20 years of smoking and countless attempts to stop. I stopped for good 14 years ago. Best £7.99 I've ever spent.

Willpower won't do it, being driven to overeat crap is not your fault. Alan Carr Easy way to stop emotional eating sorted me for this. Read Brain over Binge previously. Great thread. I'll be onto my library!

Sorry, not a book:
Walk every day.

I hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Here's a thought: having what you want is actually eating and drinking to nourish and make you feel healthy and energetic, not to make you feel like crap after a quick fix. That's the real reward... Why do we treat ourselves like crap in the name of supposedly rewarding ourselves. I wouldn't give junk to my kids but had myself as not so important..
