To ask if any of you waited more than 48 hours for COVID-19 test results?

Just that really. Had a drive through test on Tuesday 4.30pm, now been 52 hours. I rang the helpline and after an hours wait she said keep waiting. Couldn't confirm whether the test had been received by the lab or not.
Has anyone else's test taken longer and not been lost?

I was in hospital 2 weeks ago for something unrelated and had a covid test there in A&E. I haven't had any results!!
I then actually started with symptoms, a temperature and a cough. So isolated straight away & thought best to get tested again. Can't get test centre where I live, want you to drive 70 miles, but managed to get a home test. Sent it back straight away and tracked it to see it had been delivered at the lab. Had no results!!
Im on day 12 now of isolation and I am fully recovered from whatever it was. Had no results from either test. I really do think it's disgraceful.
2 weeks a long time to isolate for when/if it is not needed!!

Posted mine on monday 4.30pm. Should have been at a lab by 9ish tuesday. Got result 6.30 this morning. #worldbeating

My friend's husband waited a whole week for his. In the meantime she got herself and the kids tested and results back in 24 hours so they could go back to school!

They definitely seem to be struggling at the moment. Tried to get a test online and was met with 'no home test kits available' message. Which is tricky as there are also no drive or walk through test slots either. I don't mean none nearby either, I just mean none at all. Maybe we were just unlucky but I've checked several times now and got the same result. Really worrying given the kids and students have just gone back.

Still waiting. 54 hrs here. Plus delivery time.
Both kids itching to be back at school. Going to be a minimium of a full week off school.

Mine took five days a fortnight or so ago.

Lancashire here, got them exactly 48 hrs after attending drive-through. Consider ourselves lucky!

If it’s a home test you get a royal nail tracking number so you can see when it was delivered

I waited less than 24 hours. My test was 2pm and I had it back 6am via text the next morning

Earlier in the summer we waited between 24/36 hours for tests (we take part in the Zoe study so are sometimes asked to test for less common symptoms)

This week we were all tested due to actual symptoms. Did drive through tests on Tuesday lunch time, received results between 6am and 7pm on Thursday. One result was unclear, rest negative. Fortunately we had a spare test kit in the house (long story) so the unclear one has done another and now we wait...

Posted Tuesday , arrived wed morning and got result yesterday 5pm so just over 2 days from them receiving .
