Just under £10k but I shopped around like a demon and it was 7 years ago but to give you an idea.
£3500 on kitchen cabinets from Ikea, (2 larder units, 5 horizontal wall cabinets, 4 x 600 wall cabinets, 1 x 300 wall cabinet, all base units were larder pull out so 4 of those, 1 oven cabinet, 1 corner cupboard and a 300 base. Also an integrated extractor inside the cupboard.
Appliances, £1k for American Fridge/Freezer, £450 for single oven, £450 for combi microwave, £250 for dishwasher and £850 for induction hob that I absolutely love. Hot water tap £600, Franke sink £200, tap £150, Axiom laminate worktops due to needing a 4m length and upstands, as we had forked for a kitchen extension I couldn't afford corian, can't remember that cost, tiling was £100 for subway tiles, £100 internal kitchen door, can't remember flooring cost but in total just shy of £10k.
We basically compared the cost of an Ikea base cabinet with the cost of others. At the end of the day I didn't care about the carcass only the doors and the overall look of the kitchen. Some base unit costs are just ridiculous for what is foil wrapped chipboard.
I have been researching kitchens for my sister recently and I love DIY ktichens.
